On ep 7. I love how FL is learning not to jump to conclusions and not to assume the worst. And ML's assistant was brilliant when pointing out that ML is behaving immature about his "revenge". Constant teasing is fine with your friends, but if you are in a director's position, teasing your subordinates might not be a good idea.
Finally enjoying this series, and it is just as expected from comments and videos. Many times I came across some clips with Joseph Zeng on youtube from his other dramas, but although he looked handsome, I never decided to watch any of them until I saw some scenes from "Hi Venus'. I think, for me his cute face for the first time seems to be in sync with the role he is playing, his eyes just sparkle here, and I can't stop smiling when seeing him.
Completed. This was quite unrealistic, as every character was just super cute in probably the most ugly industry out there) But I like warm shows about good people, and drama did have a number of scenes which could have been taken from reality. I enjoyed the middle part most, pacing there was a bit slower than in the beginning, and some challenges happened. The story about the lady, who was kind of collecting special things, was creepy. Also, it was nice to see those first awkward meetings of the couple after confession, this periods are highly underused in dramas and could be even more fun than before confession. Also, I was very satisfied that Kang Yoo Sung and the fantastic lawyer got their love stories. The friendship between various characters was another highlight. Last episodes were a bit too sweet and not that funny anymore.
On episode 5. It's a bit messy - lots of characters and time shifts, and for now I don't see if there is a good reason for leads being friends since university. The trope that leads know each other for many years is something that repeats in many k-dramas, and I am starting to feel annoyed about it. Like, what was the problem to get together earlier? I also like the lawyer, and I don't understand why the girl doesn't fall for the guy who treats her well instead of the guy who attacks her all the time?.. Another meh trope. But there are a lot of funny scenes, and secondary characters are nice, and there are a lot of stories about show business and celebrities life behind the scene, and all this makes a fun watch. Love Kang Yoo Sung character, hope he gets a love story too.
What a wonderful watch. Interesting cases, lovely characters, so many good and sad moments, following each other. The plot with the mother is quite unrealistic, but somehow it all plays well with this script and directing. Love story was adorable, and it wasn't too much of it, so it didn't dominate the plot. I definitely need more.
I started watching k-dramas lately, and I am very pleased with them. Less childish FLs, less cold MLs, or maybe…
I didn't find "Hometown Cha-cha-cha" in your watchlist, so if you haven't watch it - do it asap! :D ML there is absolutely adorable. And I read very positive comments about "Hi, Venus", which finished today, so I guess I'm gonna watch it and "Meet yourself" after I finish "Attorney Woo" which I am enjoying right now. Ah, and also "New life begins", pseudo-historical c-drama which finished recently, got very positive feedback in terms of being anti-cliche and relaxing.
After watching crazy, toxic kdramas I really admire Cdramas for their positivity. The craziness and angst is usually…
I started watching k-dramas lately, and I am very pleased with them. Less childish FLs, less cold MLs, or maybe I was just lucky :D I do try to make sure that the ending is not bad or that characters are not toxic before watching (unless that's what I want to watch), and it's quite easy to do on MDL, just reading the comments. With airing dramas it's more complicated, of course, as they can just smash you in the face right when you have relaxed :D
Gosh, just 1 episode, and I cried, I laughed, I experienced multiple satisfying moments. Can't wait to watch the rest. Both leads are fantastic. I already saw Kang Tae Oh in another drama, and he has such an incredibly positive aura. Secondary characters are also interesting.
Just a few days ago I thought how wonderful it would be to see Li Xian with an actress who does not look or act as a child, and in a solid romance drama, and I feel like this is it 😄
Heard a lot of good things about this drama, finally watching, and so far it's quite pleasant. I love the general tone of it - without cringe humor with lots of screaming, which could easily happen in the plot with bodies swap. I think both actors reflect the "inner self" quite well and funny.
hated the ending. felt almost like the "it was all a dream!" trope that I often see in older american shows. went…
I've just started, but literally the first thing I thought when I saw that FL is a writer - that it's all gonna be her book or something. Cause I've seen that ending many times. And you shouldn't be too upset about this, it's mostly censorship issue - if they leave it as a fantasy element, they might not pass, but if it's all a dream or a book, no problem. I learned to just ignore this :D
I didn’t like the acting of the ML in GoGo Squid and his angry look all the time , perhaps it was rather his…
You can check the first 5 minutes of "Medical examiner dr Qin" to make sure this actor is... an actor indeed. There he is like a totally different person compared to "Go go squid", some funny twin brother, hah.
Finished. What a ride! One of the best written dramas I watched. All characters matter, all details are well thought, every scene is just right. After each triumph comes a total disaster, but girls don't give up and have a bigger triumph later.
Very satisfying portrayal of strong women, not forced or overloaded with social issues. It's cool that all of them were business ladies of high rank while their partners were mostly artistic personalities, but none of them seemed weak or not manly enough. I loved all three romance stories, I cried a lot because of Park Morgan, was on the edge of my seat when seeing Song Ga Kyung with her husband, and smiled at how cute Cha Hyun's drama villain was.
Now it's weird for me to read comments here about main leads' story being annoying, I am glad it didn't scare me away from this drama. I can relate to Bae Ta Mi's issue with marriage and can understand that for some people it's hard to let another person into their life if they are quite comfortable alone and already have a true passion, e.g. work. Cinematography and music of main leads' scenes were amazing, and my heart stopped so many times during their conversations.
Just watched the first episode and mostly liked it. FL is very cool.
Ep 5: so badass!!! Girls uniting to punish the bad guy, no prince coming to help them, cause they are more than capable to solve everything by themselves. Fantastic, I am enjoying this drama much more than expected.
Youtube keeps suggesting me clips from this drama and I keep rewatching them 😁 That fall and how she banged his head with hers 🤣 Flight of the slipper 🤣 All their kisses but especially the first one, when he gently held her head and removed his hands immediately when she shifted a bit 😍 His happy eyes in the mirror when she admitted she fell for him 😍 Second couple "remove the glasses for better access" scene 😍 ...
Read some comments below saying actors playing main characters are not popular. Li Hongyi /Xiao Se had played…
I watched just one drama with Li Hongyi and hmm 3 and a half dramas with Liu Xueyi and all of them were good, and isn't this what's really important? :) They are indeed not those big stars who wouldn't accept something less than the main lead role, but they have many upcoming projects, and most of those seem interesting.

Team Barro forever! :)
