I watch for support actors, just... to support them 🤣 I expected so much more from this drama, that the disappointment is really huge, as it is bad in many aspects, not just pacing or props (that sword, lol).

I find the story slow all the time, and even action scenes don't save it. I can't wait for Su Mo to be angry at Bai Ying, cause that's finally some different dynamics than talking slowly and dully about 2-3 topics they usually talk about 🤣

Are there any rumors about what exactly got censored? Cause the story seems to be bad, just because it's bad. Like.. did they really have more interesting material than walking around the woods for several episodes, while having the same conversations all the time?.. I am not sure.
And I start to hate trees, really.

+ Nice dialogues, not typical story and issues, a lot of humor, handsome ML, not annoying FL, cute cast overall.
- Some weird CGI, not always good transitions between scenes, a bit too long side stories.

I can't move on from rewatching scenes from ALP on youtube. I wanted to stop, but youtube keeps recommending me new ones, so... 🤣
Btw, I am still looking for background music, like the one which plays in the scene where stars fall after Yuemi is gone. I checked all scores and osts, but either I missed it or it's just not there, as well as some other background music. Anyone knows where to find it? 🙏🏻

I have the biggest issues with FL's acting too. She just keeps the same face expression and I also think she wanted to show grace and elegance, but failed.
But as for Na Sheng... she could be cute, but they made her annoying on purpose. Who wouldn't find annoying a person, who intrudes in main leads relationships? And that's while Su Mo saved her several times! Why on earth would she try to prevent him meeting Bai Ying? Or the way she blurts out important information to total strangers sometimes- how could such chatacter be not annoying? So scriptwriter did everything to annoy viewers with her behavior, probably because he/she doesn't know, that there are better ways to add emotions to the story 😀 Actress though is very nice, and I also think she is gonna be great in sad and dramatic scenes.
Now they added Bai Ying's sister, who behaves similar! They just really don't know how to show likable young characters.

🤣 I checked weibo this morning, and there was a post with gifs from this scene in official blog. Fei Lian actor wrote that girl was very elegant, if only he didn't have someone in his heart...
And everyone started to ask him, if the one in his heart was Yu Huan 🤣

Yeah, pacing is not good. I feel like they even talk slowly and walk slowly. And the mysterious background music they have most of the time would be so good for sleeping... 😀

Yu Huan's friend (Fei Lian?) is kinda cute (when he doesn't bomb people, haha). Their friendship seems sincere, and I hope creators show us this human side of Cang Liu army for a good reason)

Uh? You said that WeTV has only good quality dramas, I said it has a lot of crappy ones, including with bad CGI. So, I wrote something totally opposite 😀

WeTv has crappy dramas, actually 😀 Even recently I watched one, well overall it was weird but fun, but in the last episode they had the crappiest CGI I saw in years, I laughted like hell 😀 Some big dramas are sold to other international platforms because that might bring more money, than potencial VIP users watching them on WeTv. Take The Long Ballad, it was also never posted on WeTv, but was available on Tencent China. You also forget that dramas, especially with big budget, are produced by several companies, which might agree on where it will be posted internationally even before filming started. Both TLB and Mirror are produced by multiple companies.

Well, it's obviously not that much, as ALP is not in top 10 most watched cn dramas of 2021. I heard thought that it performed well in terms of money (vip viewing), but I didn't see rating for that.

It's just rumours, one link says that sequel is possible, but Tianqi and Yuemi would not be main characters. Second link also says about the sequel, but that there are arguments about who should be the lead actress. I guess, new Yuemi's incarnation might have another face, which would be very sad, as I really love the actress here.

I know but as I checked douban recently, rating was still quite low, so we can't expect many new cn fans to be interested in watching the drama. And let's not forget about their prejudice towards appearance of both main leads.
I am afraid that producers might have not enough faith that Tianqi and Yuemi as characters and as actors can carry a high budget fantasy drama, so I try not to hope too much, but I will be really happy if it happens! I see in a new comment links to some rumours about sequel, so maybe something is there.

I think creators planned it, but ALP was not a big hit - it still performed good in some aspects, but got a lot of critics in the beginning and couldn't fully restore it's ratings in China. So for now I haven't heard about any development of this side-story.

I hoped it's gonna improve, but unfortunately it still didn't happen. I like one of the secondary characters though and will continue just because I don't like dropping dramas unless they are absolutely unbearable :D

Well, I read it, and maybe some arguments of topic starter were not entirely correct, but the fact is that many people here argue with his comment, while noone argues with the comments saying that the scene was romantic and hot. Funny, huh?

Well, check some new comments, stating that episode 9 is their favourite or that they love dark Su Mo. The most popular comment on youtube about this episode is, I quote: "The scene where Su Mo was trying to seduce Bai Ying was really cute". CUTE. Many girls DO think that such abusive behavior and aggresive men are hot, and this drama doesn't do anything to show they are wrong.
