Xu Kai's acting when he killed Tianqi and when he then saw him in memories was very good! They should call him Softie instead of Ice Cube 😭

I think that an emotionless performance can still be impressive and captivating, and I saw a couple of examples of that, but don't want to name the actors.

The funny thing, for me his performance is vice versa - could be colder, I think he looks too soft to be called Ice Cube 😁

Watched till ep 10. Wow, the battle is quite epic, CGI team continues to be great.

Something still doesn't click for me to be totally hooked, but variety of characters and nice minor stories keep my attention, I am not bored anymore as during first episodes 😊

But these revengeful women... *sigh*

The story is quite simple, so I skipped a lot 😁 But main leads had really many scenes together, some quite emotional, some very funny. Great chemistry and a lot of kisses! If you are looking for romance, this is a good choice (you might also just skip the rest 😁)

Haha, I also assumed Tian Qi and Zhi Yang were like uncles to her, caring about her as about a little girl. So when Tian Qi appeared to be in love, I was a bit shocked 😁 And it's not only that they look older (somehow styling here is done in such way that nearly all men look more mature than most of the girls), but they behaved as two worried mammas.

I also have issues with editing, or script, or directing idk. Some scenes seem to need continuation, but there is none. Or I don't understand why characters are suddenly in certain place having certain conversation, as there was no scene leading them to that place and conversation.
I plan to watch maybe 6-8 episodes, and drop if it doesn't get better.

I fast forwarded through Alen Fang's  Love by Hypnotic, and damn, the guy kisses a lot there. A LOT. With passion. No blur. I feel so envy. Also, it's good that Shuyu didn't dare to kiss Leyan or more likely Leyan didn't dare to kiss Shuyu, cause I am not sure, audience would recover from that.

But you kind of assume he doesn't remember only 1000 years from his past life? While I think he remembered nothing at all. He might knew he was a Lonely Star but not from his memories, just as a fact (it's even might be that the first time he hears about it, it's when he asks Mingge). I also think that's how the tea works - it deletes all memories before current moment. So the trial happened 2000 years ago, he drank the tea, became Luofeng master, met Ziyang 1000 year ago etc.

Wait, I thought XQX served 2000 years as Luofeng master, and that's why he didn't remember what happened 2000 years ago with him. And he just knew Ziyang for 1000 years, so not from the beginning when he started to be Luofeng master.

As for QQ, I just though she was not revived as QQ at once, but about 1000 years passed before she was reborn after the moment when Lonely Star sent her soul to mortal realm. I thought it might have happened because her soul was sent to mortal realm not in a typical way (typical would be through bridge in Luofeng).

I was looking for romance-focused drama with cold ML and cute FL, and while this is quite a good match, I was 50% pleased, 50% annoyed 😁
Constant misunderstandings and main leads always not telling the whole truth to each other became really frustrating at certain moment. I started to fast forward about episode 20. But in general there were many emotional and romantic scenes, main leads interacted a lot, especially in the first half of the series. Some secondary characters were also shining from time to time.
FL is cute, acting is ok, but visually I didn't like her much.
ML could be a bit better with acting, but visually I liked him a lot, although I think he looks too cute to believably play someone really cold.

I honestly enjoyed reading your post and it didn't insult me in any way, while I do love hayoan a bit more than gesun just because they emotionally touched me more. I wish everyone on this forum was so kind and polite.

We can't control the things we fall for, and it sometimes happens that while watching the drama and enjoying it as a whole, we fall for minor characters and smaller stories a bit more, and then after finishing the drama we might say: "so, the story was great, but that little couple/character over there!!.. I love them so much!!" And it's ok.

I finished the whole drama quite quickly and it was a very pleasant ride! Likable and smart characters, interesting investigation. It's like... you know, who the bad guys are, but it is somehow still exciting to see how they will be brought down.
Directing/editing was very inventive to visualize certain things.

The one thing I really enjoyed a lot in last episodes, is when ML finds out that his close friend is a villain. Recently I watched another drama, where it was done so badly, but here it was really clever, emotional and satisfying.

There is not too much romance, but both couples are nice and have heartwarming scenes.
And Eunuch Qin - one of the most annoying but entertaining evil characters I saw lately 😁

I think they liked each other at the same time, soon after they met.
There is a nice second couple, they don't have many romantic scenes, more like teasing each other all the time, but they are involved in every episode.
