And then in the Temple they totally skipped the scene where Hao Du helps gesun to escape.
But actually they could have used this to strengthen Du's belief that Changge was an enemy. If Hao Du knew she was saved by Ashile Sun several times, then escaped death in grassland, and if he would tell his father, that Changge might have affiliated with Ashile, poor Du Ruhui's head would just explode.

I think that drama has overall low rating, so it's very unlikely. I just hope that creators loved this couple too and gave them a happy ending. And who knows, maybe actors can meet again in future in some project.

But also, it feels that scriptwriter and director actually liked second leads' story a lot, cause it's so nicely done! Maybe because it's an additional story, not coming from the game, and somehow they did better with this original characters.

I think that some characters were kind of victims of the script, and had to act one-dimensionaly about certain issue up to the certain point. Then they changed quite drastically, but somehow scriptwriters managed to make us buy this change. Me personally, I read some wikipedia when I started watching, so I knew that the great minister like Du Ruhui simply can't be a dark character, so I was all the time waiting for him to turn out good. Generally, during his scenes with emperor and other ministers, you can already see that he is not evil. For me the way he scolded HD was a bad writing and ooc for the sake of dramatic moment.

I support everyone's assumption, that his costumes were heavy, the materials looked heavy. Also, he has long legs, so down part of his robes might be longer than standard. He had to give the impression of fast run, so they decided to hold his dress up.
It looks adorable, and helped to reduce his murderous look :D

My bet: one day you will cry for how great Du Ruhui is as a father.

Oh, I am totally in peace with Shuyu, just think that his role was not important enough to place him on the poster as fifth main character, and after finishing drama I thought Sheer deserved it much more, they could place him there as possible main villain ;)
I think many characters in the beginning seemed to be totally dark - Du Ruhui, Hao Du, Sheer, Khan. And it was done on purpose. And while I expected Du Ruhui and Hao Du to turn out to be protagonists, Sheer was a surprise to me, and Khan - while I still think he made mistakes, which would be hard to forgive - but I felt sorry for him and didn't hate him at the end.
Shuyu indeed is a nice and honest guy, not very brave and heroic, kind of soft type. And he managed to cause some trouble just because he appeared at the wrong time or didn't dare to say something at once :D
