I think they did make it too confusing for the audience. In the beginning they could have explained what happened to some third person like Leyan. Leaving only Changge's mother death circumstances a secret to be revealed later.

I watched "Tang Dynasty tour" where Li Shimin had a daughter with the woman who also warned him about his brother's plans and then was killed, so it wouldn't be a new plot for cn dramas.

You might like it or you might not, but there is a lot of romance, it's the center of the show, characters rarely talk about anything else, haha.

I mean, it was kind of natural assumption that she aligned with Ashile tribe, because that was her last known location, and that's where her death was faked for Hao Du's spy. But somehow noone even thought about that, which is weird for me.
And if Hao Du would recognize Ashile Sun in Suzhou, this assumption would be even more solid, and would be a good reason to hunt Changge again after - I guess - many months, which passed since they saw her for the last time.

Idk, how they did it, I guess chinese fans are capable of that.

There was a table for both, like with amount of minutes for LYN and ZLS separately and together.
Separately + together takes something like 6 hours.
Together - about 2,5 hours.

There was actually a scene somewhere (I didn't find the source, but saw screencaps) of XQX and Dragon King fighting again, like FULL POWER in dragon's castle. Noone knows what could happen to make them fight like that, but I hope it's not about QQ, more about FL and her issues with soul, maybe?

Generally I expect a lot of angst, but somehow hope for happy ending for both couples, or one happy end and one open ending.

The change of attitude would happen in the same place and time. Back in Suzhou Hao Du gave an order to kill Changge in case she affiliates with Ashile tribe, got information that she was killed there. Then when he found out she was actually alive, he never questioned - so what the hell happened in grassland. If she survived, does it mean she is now with Ashile tribe, planning something? He never discussed this with anyone, although for me it would be a very alarming thing, that his spy in grassland was obviously tricked. Actually, even without Hao Du identifying Ashile Sun as the person who helped Changge, I think there should have been some development for this storyline, and in general - everyone should have been more worried about her friendship with Ashile Sun. As for first couple, sometimes I can watch them without being annoyed, like when there are funny moments, or when he is jealous))), or now in third life, when she thinks it's him while he doesn't want her to fall for him. But in second life they had a lot of boring scenes which were more suitable for some mv.
In general I don't like what was mentioned a bit below in comments section - the fact that she is totally different person in each of her lives. And also the scenes like him coming to her and sleeping in her bed while she doesn't yet know him in this life - are creepy as hell.

Haha, I think it's not ZZJ's previous work, but the way he acts here. It just feels suspicious. I saw him in the movie where he was protagonist and he was adorable and didn't feel suspicious at all. He is unlucky to play villain again, who even might have similar motivation - wants to be recognized and valued. So it feels as deja vu.

I mean, changing this plot a bit earlier, so that Hao Du knew about Ashile Sun during Suzhou events (sorry, if I write the city name incorrectly), and after Changge appeared to be alive, he would be very alarmed by her potential alliance with Ashile tribe - this would be much more logical, then him just continuing to hunt her without any new reason to do that.
I see here many opportunities missed.
And as I wrote in another reply, I think I needed more reactions to the fact that Changge's shadow, following her and shooting eye-thunders at other men around her, was the goddamn Ashile Sun.

I mean not stretching it (oh no), but more like adding this earlier, so that there would be one more solid argument for Hao Du to actually get very alarmed when knowing that Changge survived in grassland. I think the fact that she made friends with Ashile tribe is potentially more dangerous than everything she did in the beginning of the series.

I mean, they could use it earlier to kind of give additional argument for Du family, because the way it was done in the drama, Du family stubbornness about Changge looked a bit ridiculous. The suspicion that Changge's next plan could be to use Ashile tribe against Li Shimin, would be a strong reason to get scared of the fact that she was still alive.
And generally, I think I needed more reactions to the fact that Changge's shadow, following her and shooting eye-thunders at other men around her, was the goddamn Ashile Sun.
