Started this and find it quite pleasant - a lot of characters, family issues, some secrets to discover. And the best part is how fast all evil plots fail :D just so satisfying.
Overall it was ok, interesting to watch nearly all the events, but somehow I never got really excited by anything. Sad or disturbing scenes were actually better than any happy scene. Male lead was a huge green flag. I am not a fan of Yang Zi, but she was indeed a strong and clever woman here. Antagonists couple taught us a very useful lesson of how you can make yourself miserable with your own hands. I didn't like the "massacre" scene in the second part, there were other ways to make leads fail other then "after many years of planning they just didn't have any backup plan whatsoever".
You know when I can tell that the actor is good? It's when I saw him playing multiple typical nice guys and consider him cute, and then I see him as antagonist, and I f*cking hate his character . Not find him scary or funny or just annoying, you know, but really hate him. And so Miles Wei is a good actor.
this drama looked intresting, but then I read the comments and I was it was split in two season? Are there more…
I am finishing the first season now, and I would say that leads kinda friendzoned each other and now they are finally forced to go out of that friend zone, and it will be great to watch a proper number of episodes about that, so I don't mind there is one more season to go. But am I sure I will be fully satisfied? Not yet :D
Watched 10 eps and a bit hesitant to continue, both leads are fine, but the way they bump into each other literally on every corner of the big China is very stretched. Also, he is basically her sponsor and saves her most of the time, so I don't yet see her as an independent woman able to solve everything by herself, which I was hoping for after reading comments. Her husband story is interesting though but his relatives are so evil, that some scenes were just depressing to watch.
I would give a 10 if the pattern would not get repetitive towards the end, and the story with the great potential (judge) would not be so rushed. Anyway, enjoyed this drama a lot, it's smart, fast paced, and actors are great. Didn't really liked only the choice for the mother, but she was tolerable.
This was more lighthearted than expected. Nice adventures and an ok romance, it was refreshing for a war drama to not see leads torturing or trying to kill each other. For a few last episodes creators ran out of ideas so main leads mostly walk around in fur, beautiful and supportive.
I was looking for some workplace romance and this was an ok choice. Plot was a bit weird at first but at least characters were together literally the whole drama. Second couple (workplace as well) was very entertaining.
On the one hand, it's nice when you don't need to watch 30-40 episodes for the same plot. On the other hand, they had so little to tell, that added long flashbacks in last episodes 😬
But?.. He was fantastic in "Miss the dragon" and literally saved the show together with his romantic partner there.…
Yes, "Sassy beauty" was a nice drama, not boring and with a bunch of loveable secondary characters. I was even ok with the ML, but as I mentioned, many viewers' hearts were won by DW's character. He is gonna make you cry there :) Although I like DW a lot, I don't think I am gonna watch TTEOTM (not my favorite type of plot), and from some trailers and comments I have an impression that his character there was quite blank. Ah, there was also "I Am the Years You Are the Stars", the drama was not that great, but not bad either, and he had a secondary but very nice role there, and he looks nice in modern setting. I feel like his choices of dramas and characters were better in the beginning of his career :D
First time I enjoyed Deng Wei acting he improved himself. good job👍

I am on episode 5 and love it so far. The style of filming and acting make it look more like a movie, and I like this vibe. Also happy to see LYN's long legs, robes in historical dramas mostly cover them which is a pity 😄
Oh, a story about a normal woman, not some innocent sweet girl, and with LYN as ML, not villain and not unsuccessful love rival? Surely, gonna give it a try!
