Episode 48: I promised myself not to cry... twice. But - Falling Sand? How could they use "Falling Sand" against me.

Uncle Lei joins TLB protect-your-women-no-matter-what squad. Yes, his woman is... problematic, but anyway.

I am not sure about why he hesitated. He worked for Li Shimin for quite some time, maybe he didn't know Changge well, but he should have seen their good relationships. He somehow looked a bit sad when Changge was caught in Li Shimin's room. And his father was talking about feelings, not about whose order it was better to follow. Hao Du indeed could kill Changge many times, but he didn't, and not because someone interfered, he had two or three clear opportunities but retreated.
Anyway, I would love to see a bit more about mr Du and his son relationships, but those scenes which we have are great! Mr Du managed to balance interests of Tang and his son's interests, and not to harm any. I got teary a couple of times, watching their interections.

I think back then in first episodes they had a serious political crisis and he instructed Hao Du the way which was needed to achive what mr Du considered the best for Tang. You can see Hao Du hesitating a bit when ordered to kill Changge, his father must have seen it. He also observed Li Shimin listening to his heart instead of cold mind, and he was afraid that Li Shimin could be wrong about Changge, and it would get them into trouble.
Later, Shimin was established as an emperor, Changge dissapeared, and mr Du himself got seriosly ill, and was reflecting a bit on his life. He also learnt, that Shimin's heart was right, and that Changge did a lot of things out of pure love and loyalty, and it allowed her to survive and to win, so maybe feelings were not that harmful.

No, but Changge really should have said "Release my husband" instead of "release my man" in 48. That would be hilarious.

Khatun's story is what Changge could become if she would pursue her revenge and would not accept that her old life was over. This gives me chills.
Shuyu's sleeves, haha, why are they flying so much. Hao Du greets him with a totally friendly smile. I am proud of Hao Du. And how confident he must be about Leyan's feelings now!
I am so sad, that Changge didn't say goodbye to Leyan, I understand her, but I wanna cry.
Mandarin ducks, Wei Shuyu??? (googles it) "They are regarded as a symbol of conjugal affection and fidelity". Ah, ok. Haoyan scene afterwards is very nice, and I like that they hug just like that.
Uncle Lei mentioned Pusa! Defeating some Ashile forces. I wish we could see Mobei king again. I also think they should have shown that war confrontation started, not just tell.
Khan looks terrible( What a sad scene.
Sun and Mu Jin finally reunite for a brief but warm meeting! Love them so much.
When Sheer tells Mimi the summary of the story of his family, it sounds really terrible.
I can't believe mr Du is grumbling, that his son is too bold now, haha. Haha, Hao Du got scared that his father was gonna order him kill Changge again, this boy has so many ptsd.

Hello, the day of the finale!
I wanna tell now (cause final episodes won't change anything), a big thanks to creators and actors for amazing ~two months.
I liked Dilraba before, I like her even more now, especially as a person.
I didn't know Wu Lei at all, he is adorable!
I became a fan of Liu Yuning, and I could list many reasons why, but the truth is I just fell in love, and this doesn't need any reason.
Zhao Lusi, what a great actress and a joyful person!

Idk, I still feel that Shuyu's character is very weak. In all this mess in Chang'an he doesn't do anything remarkable, just delivering information around and being the ears for anyone who would like to reflect on their life.
