C'mon, nobody can have their favourite couple in every drama, it's very rare for two actors to be a couple for several times. We have haoyan and it's fantastic, and LYN will for sure sing for some ZLS dramas.

I agree that they should have given more explanations to what happened in first episodes. Maybe it was clear for Chinese audience, but most of us here had to google :D Generally some political events could be explained better.
While I love literally all couples here, I also agree that some romantic scenes of the main couple could be done better, but there was Wu Lei's contract issue and age difference issue, so they decided to be cautious. Taking this into account, they were actually quite inventive , and still delivered several extremely cute moments.
And as for second couple, I shipped them so hard!!! ))) I didn't ship anyone so hard for quite a long time.

I would also love them to show all the minor characters and then gesun at the end. I think they could find time for that in final episode, which was not much action-packed. Especially little Yuan, it's unclear for me who she stayed with, I hoped that gesun adopt her.
But then, these characters say goodbye in 48 and it felt like that was their closure, and episode 49 was for Khatun's , Sheer's and gesun closure, but somehow it feels it could be better even with this concept. I liked very much when Li Jing was telling Li Shimin about Changge's supposed death, that was hilarious. There should have been 1-2 more scenes like that, and at least some letter from Changge to Leyan, as this relationship was one of the crucial ones.

Or they simply were carried away by the emotions haoyan shared, and fell in love with these two characters and their story. It's ok to love gesun more but not ok to love haoyan more? And people who do that, have mental or hate issues??? Are you ok, writing such things?. Especially that this topicstarter's post was triggered by a very reasonably written post, which didn't have the slightest hint of hate.

I think haoyan have quite a lot skin to skin contact and tighter hugs. When he hugs her on the street, their ears and cheeks touch. Their confession scene hug is very tight. When she hugs him on the ring, their faces are really close, she holds him very intimately, so that on preview it even looked as if she kissed his forehead. Personally I like their hug when they discuss Changge and Hao Du's father health, and their wedding - they stay really close, touch and hug all the time, his cheek touching her forehead, they look like a real couple. I also like that this scene doesn't have extreme zoom or slowmo, their bodies contact looks very natural. Damn, why am I on fire now.
Gesun hugs for me were a bit less intimate, Sun nearly always keeping his head straight, Changge's face keeping 1-2 cm away from his shoulder. I think it was like that because either Wu Lei's contract or director's decision. I think if they will have another project together, they would allow themselves more, knowing that public loves them and age difference doesn't matter. Personally my favourite gesun contact is their street run, when they hold hands and smile.
Generally, if you count all gesun and haoyan "romantic" contacts, gesun will have more, but not as much more as their screen time. As for intimacy of those... each person can decide for themself.

According to rumors, their last scene was supposed to be with pregnant Leyan.
Hao Du's father passing was sad but at the same time quite placative, I just didn't like that the candle flickered out at the end of it.

I would generally add at the end some peacefull scenes with many characters, the last episode didn't seem to be so action-packed, that they wouldn't have time for that :D

I think he liked her, but kind of visually. I don't think they ever talked before the events of the series (maybe only greetings). Their first conversations were quite clumsy and funny, but it did hurt him a bit when she laughed at him for being so serious. When he found her, he started to fall for her really fast, and this time it wasn't because of her just being cute.

But he is handcuffed during their talk with Li Jing.

Yes, Li Shimin wanted him to meet one person before he would be given to Khatun according to the deal, and that person was Li Jing. They even talk in Emperor's room, I think, straight after Sun's talk with Shimin.

It's not only cartoon, but generally why he had to rescue her like that, they could run away holding hands. She wasn't injured or in chains when talking to Khatun, so why wouldn't she just run away, ehh.

I think that several writers might have worked on TLB script, and while one was ready for fresh takes, another one was a cliche one. From second one we got Sun's reactions in this episode, or falling from the roof scene (girls in cdramas just can't not fall into ML hands at least ones), or the scene where man walks into the room right after the girl took a bathe. From the first one we got battle of the Temple with "can you still move"? and both leads fighting equally, or haoyan confession scene which goes in such a nontypical way. There was also a third one, total dipstick who came up with the idea of fire rescue scene :-D
