After watching lot of Korean and Chinese drama, I am convinced that men in these 2 countries have zero sexual…
Hahaha. I laughed so hard. Thats because I was looking a local Korean hotel booking site and I am looking at love hotels. And then all those host and hostess bars.

You mean the writers are delusional instead

If you've watched Jung Hae In as Yoo Ji Ho you'll know how bad Zhang Wan Yi fails in comparison.
I've watched the Jung Hae-in one by the way and couldn't stand the female lead.

So yes I prefer the China version. Different people like different characters or actors. I happen to speak both Korean and Mandarin and actually don't need subs so its not as if I took my eyes off screen. I like the screen tone for this drama.

What did you mean only 2 more episodes to go? It's 36 episodes.
Nooooo... for some reason I thought its 26. Dammit. That means there is going to be studpid angst since the plot is idiotic. I mean the legal cases are terrible and the character developments are terrible. And the legal subs are so far behind.

12 more days. Geez. Fine fine. I am going to do some work stuff then. The romance part here so far is so cringy.

You have a tall strapping male legal student who's rich and clever. He would have been arrogant and aloof in university.

This is about the only theory I can hypothesise why we have the only male who went through puberty and did NOT have a crush in college. Were the females that unattractive to him?

The conclusion for ep 23 and 24 are that the actors are good actors otherwise the scenes would have been TERRIBLE to watch. The cringe factor was up through the roof.

That pizza scene. Omg. That was a
grown man right?

Was that original crust? Its very floppy. I don't usually buy from Pizza Hut and we like a thin crust? All I could see was a limp pizza and so much carbs. Doesn't he normally like healthy food?

You guys mentioned that the writer is female. Have you all seen the dishes she has been cooking. If you come home at 6pm after a long day of work then have to cook 4-6 dishes daily. Plus supper? Which century is the writer living in? At least it was proper dishes not those meat skewers we see in so many dramas.

Only 2 more episodes to go. I will watch the subbed episodes as it comes out but 2 episodes of romance is not going to bode well for any one of us who waited for an office drama and watched 22 episodes of him being obnoxious.

Yes she will be cooking. Even if they live in that super big house. Pity that so many dramas as so idiotic in China and everyone wants a super rich man story.

I don't even fight about women's rights normally. And considering how tired I am this morning with work and kids I would also love the option of being a full time housewife. A rich housewife who can hire twice weekly cleaners. A gardener. Plus a chauffeur then an actual cook since I would prefer them to just cook
under supervision. I can take that
sort of housewife.

So back to the acting. This drama is saved by the excellent acting from everyone. I love the other 3 lawyers and I just saw the female lawyer in Love me, love my voice? Then the actress was in another 2 other dramas I watched. Cheng Xi- the actress who plays the sister.

All I could say was that Qian Heng being like this was cringy. There is or has been a big boss being in love dramas all the time but he being her direct supervisor just makes for a poor outcome for her career- wise. So the big splashy wedding scenes in those office romance dramas just won't work for this drama. And I like romance dramas because I like a believable HAE.

The actors were and are very good. I like the way Cheng Yao smiles. I spent like 22 episodes thinking she was just so dense but when the actress smiles in ep 24 it makes me think its the role that was bad. I will go look for a drama where she has a better role. I am obviously going to warch The Interpreter now to get rid of the arrogant Qian Heng being brought low being in love instead of being adorable now that he is in love.

I didn't mind the other partner. So yeah overall I really like the acting from the actors here and am going to search for their other dramas instead. I am going back to ep 10 now. To watch what happened to the pregnant mistress. I wasn't paying attention when I watched it raw last week.
After this I really REALLY NEED to watch something completely different from this drama. I usually have something followed on planned but this time I might even go off office romance drama because I would pick a good drama now vs a bad drama just because I like the synopsis.

Is there any recent good high school to college romance around you guys can recommend? That's the level those 2 are at and I want to watch a good age appropriate romance. If 2 adults can be that dense then I'd rather watch a good college romance. Thank you.

It was mention "slow burn romance" then why people are having problem with romance in this drama and if this drama…
Slow burn can mean simmering emotions, unexpressed feelings. Reasons why the leads did not confess out loud. Unspoken words of longing expressed in their expressions.

The discussion with the BFF this episode 22 was that the male lead was too good for her to think that way. There was no inkling with words or longing that she was attracted to the male lead.

The male lead is attracted yes. And has been for
episodes. The female lead on
the other hand has never expressed any interest in any form. Does she even want to be with him? All she has been saying is that he is too good for her to even consider. The fake story to her parents is also so flimsy and lame.

So its as she wants permission from the male lead to like him. A slow burn romance shouldn't have a female character not be irresistibly pulled by the male lead.

Now Cheng Xi on the other is more the slow burn romance. The guy is longing. The girl is interested but is doing the Noble Idiocy role.

So come episode 23- how can I buy her romance if she is suddenly lovey dovey towards the male lead. And being intimate all the time.

Its only 505 ppl who rated. Some dramas have thousands.

Additional- have seen the preview for ep 23. Wow she went from indifference to burning interest. Wow. And huh?

Same i didn't get what happened there
Sounds like she did. And the BFF is still going to be pregnant with twins and she signed a loan agreement under her name. Although how she is going to work with twins in China I don't know. I mean maternity leave is bad. The guy kicked her out so doubt she can sue for child support. Especially since the marriage cert is fake. How can you fake it though when its in an official government office.

Luckily Ive been distracted by "Got a crush on you." I have just marathoned it in 3 days. Kitschy and cheesy, I have even gasped with mortified 2nd hand embarrassment but heck at least it did a romance drama.

These are my musings.

So she is in early to mid 20s with her being a lawyer.

How does she not know if she likes a man? I know someone can have a low self- esteem. I don't think she does. But a woman in her 20s should at least have an inkling if she likes a guy.

She really dismisses the idea that the boss can like her. We know based on spoilers that they get together in episode 22. However there isn't any inkling she is or has a liking for the boss.

How can I buy her liking him in ep 22 when she's like that in episodes 20 and 21?

I was about to watch this but changed my mind, this looks too heavy. Theyre locking up the grandma and threatening…
Its actually one of the better KBS2 dramas over the last few years.

I enjoyed ep 20 and 21 today. First off I am purposely not discussing the BFF's fake marriage.

What I am going to comment on is the 2nd hand embarrassment watching the ML was a massive thing today. I was laughing when he was talking to his parents. Yeah I am all for him being taken down a peg or two and him confessing instead. They will get together in ep 22 right? I will wait for it.

The Cheng Xi storyline was a bit more serious than I thought. He is married right? Then the whole stalking and DV and assault was something I wasn't expecting .

The slow official subs are killing me. I am on ep 9 with subs but ep 21 raw

I thought that was a gift from Tan Ying to Yu Fei, that couple?
Thanks. I wasn't watching the whole episode as I will rewatch it when proper subs comes out. I am watching to see the progress. Legal subs are at episode 11 still. I know that I need to wait till episode 22.

When I watch it with subs later will be very curious why a client will make such a gift and who was it intended for.

It has roses right? With " I love you and I want your baby?"

Holy cow. They are not at that stage yet.

The saving grace was that house. Definitely not a kid friendly house

I just watchec episode 19. The present made me scratch my head.

Its an obvious error but what a random sentence. Which girl would have sent it a man?

Is she still so oblivious? She really is.

yes, it is worrying - I put my own misgivings in spoilers but perhaps future audience should indeed get warned…
Precisely my point. They are renting and she was gojng to buy. You know what I think all of us are going to wait for subs. I wasn't paying attention as I wasn't interested in that plot in the earlier conversations. Maybe I remember wrongly. I didn't think my Mandarin was that poor.

It was a great ep 17. With my community this episode was very successful. We love how the characters are portrayed…
Did we even watch the same episode?

You mean the main characters I hope because a suicidal pregnant woman whose husband cheated on her is not the best episode. The other woman moving in an suing her is also not a good episode. The female lead being responsible for the friend is not a good episode.

yes, it is worrying - I put my own misgivings in spoilers but perhaps future audience should indeed get warned…
The main romance is going fine. Its not an issue as a romance drama. However putting a pregnant woman drinking, suicidal and homeless is nuts. I swear I thought the friend said she was married a few episodes back. Then the other lady is calling the guy husband in ep 17 and the friend called her the mistress.

Like pre- marital sex is so openly accepted in China and then legally registered marriages so easily discarded. Lets not talk about both their parents

So yeah this secondary character plot line is bad. I usually like secondary couples in dramas but this is not going to end well. She shouldn't accept him after he cheated on her. Yet a single mother of twins is not going to be a good outcome. You sure they mentioned her being a lawyer?

The drama seems to be very blase about the actual legal aspects of being a female lawyer.

Yeah this will not get a good drama rating from me regarding the writing/plot. They just made the female too dumb.

Episode 17 has a very messy side plot. I really laughed today at what happened to the male lead.

However the side plot is actually quite worrying. So yes the plot itself is bad but the writer or the novel writer wrote a very bad situation. There are so many morally wrong issues in the story tonight.

I am not going to put into spoilers because I am not discussing the female lead and how she handled it. Or how the main actor behaved.

The reason why I disliked the plot is that normally secondary characters are a given. However the writer made the friend be unemployed, pregnant with twins, got kicked out of her home, drank alcohol while probably in her 2nd trimester pregnancy, attempt suicide, hire a private investigator and then exposed the affair to the partner's office.

There are SO many wrongs in this whole side plot that anything that is solved easily is a writer's cop- out. Just what can you do with a side character is left unbalanced and pregnant?

How is this is going to be solved in an romance frama?
