Can the actor act please? Just asking before I put this as my next " it " drama. I currenrly have no historical drama to watch except for " The Legend of a female general. "
I am looking for an addictive drama but can't make sense of the synopsis. I may have read a few articles about the actor and I've gone to his acting list.
I donāt understand why people dislike romantic elements in films so much, even when the romantic hints are minimal,…
Just ignore them. I happen to like rom com so know when its supposed to happen or not in a drama. That 7.8 drama was bad. I just dropped it after 6 episodes. My god its so bad and cheesy lame. Notall romance works

Oops I replied with another long post. Just ignore it if you like. I have finished ep 4 and am now going to start with a lowly rated drama. MDL 7.8. Where there IS an office romance š¤£š¤£š¤£
Then getting back to work. I just cannot believe this writer. How come I haven't seen her work before? I actually watch a lot of legal and medical dramas where it is rife with romance. So I am really happy with the writer at present. You know in my spare time I actually watch legal students debating in the moot courts. I once attended an international law students debate competition. Just for fun. That's how much I like logic. I was in a different faculty by the way. Twarted ambitions.

I have nothing against office romance provided it's doesn't interfere with work.
I am also not arguing about the chemistry.
What I am saying is the power relationship in this couple is extremely huge. She's not falling for a colleague. You guys are talking about a law firm partner. I have no issue with his personality. No issue with the age gap. I am saying that love doesn't excuse or makes things safe.
Either way, I am enjoying this drama by the way because of the writing. Good directing as well. I really. really like the editing. The camera work is excellent with the focus on the tea, the truck accident- its the level where the camera has been mounted. No jarring scene transitions. I can just watch the episode for the story without being jarred with uneven quality.
So this romance thing is an observation. We don't know where everyone works. Maybe your workplace is more lenient. Where else my friends, colleagues and I work in fields where its not so much specialised but bound by professional standards, associations, where reputation matter or affect promotion since people know of each other by association, that sort of work. And a probationary intern having an office romance ( not going to the marriage section ) with her law firm's partner is kinda explosive. Then her ex is in the rival law firm. Man the gossip will be ugly. And oh yeah- there are no secrets in my professional work place. People who pry into the secrets are sacked. Employment teminated. That's my world.
Having said that; romance or no romance? I don't really care. Since people put their 2 cents inc; I did it too.

I don't mind if its not a full on romance. However I also believe that not every drama needs a romantic element. That is reflective in real life. What is eeking me out is that the law firm partner going with a junior has always been potrayed in a bad light. It is also not good for her at this point to engage in a romance with the firm's partner. Any smart cookie knows that that is career suicide if it goes south. No romance or probability of romance is worth if after struggling so hard to finish school and get a job. Not to mention her actual intern job is on the line. The writer is a real life lawyer right? The writing has been actually pragmatic. There are actually no OTT scenes. Is this the writer's style? Wouldn't she know more than any other the massive pitfall in this unequal office romance? Its very unequal. I don't see it as romantic but would think that the FL is not very realistic. I wouldn't jeopardise my job for a potential expecially knowing his personality. No one is that naive and optimistic.
I had to sit for a bit after ep 4's cliffhanger to put myself in his shoes. Its not very reassuring, good for your esteem.
I have met pitiful situations in Kdramas before but this was good in the sense that it is a well written wound. Talk about twisting the knife and making the hurt worse.
This drama is well written. I am now following it because of the writing.
Ah the same ' ol comments. Romance. I checked. There are or is no romance tag.
I just came to say I finished ep 1-2. Absolutely loving it. Why? I know its all legalese but there is logic in the arguments.
I like words. I like that its cathartic to me. People like violence and physical expressions for their emotions. I don't like passionate, loud, chaotic lawyers. I like well constructed arguments even if the cases are improbable. I plain like it.
We have to be so careful how we speak these days in case we are accused of not being supportive. I have to do that at work and coddle those who just can't make the cut. You can see they should really switch departments. I would really like to tell someone that they are paid to work. Others shouldn't carry the workload for them. I also don't like brainless colleagues. Or those who only socialise.
So excuse me while I say its cathartic. The words I would use is " evisceration in progress. " So nice.
I will now have to take a break because its time to rewire my brain and sound professional. But gosh, it's nice hearing what I'd like to say in real life but acted out in a drama.
I like words. I like wittiness. Not all dramas are equal and there are different genres to suit all tastes.
And no I have no issues with the acting. Stop reading the subs. The actors can all speak. I can understand all of them. I just finished a whole series where the main lead was wooden. The female lead is believable in her role. Her diction is very clear, her sentences carry the correct intonations. I have no clue what the viewers want then. Her facile expressions are correct. Her eyes emote as the scene requires.
The supporting cast is really great. I like the chemistry.
So there.
Nice. Glad that got rid of what I was thinking all week. I could have and wanted to tell someone on Monday that she needed to work faster, more efficiently, have better time management, stop whining, who forgot the important stuff, almost caused an accident from omitted work.... the list goes on.
Did these things occur in episodes 1 and 2? Yes they did.
Writer (singular) since this is based on a novel written by one person. But itās not exactly like Stargate.…
That writer cobbled together various elements of story telling but with aspects from multiple sources. I am trying to analyze what I just watched. At the end of the day I have just watched 30 episodes of coincidental good luck or meetings for him. People just keep dying. Funnily enough the only character with personality is the evil male lead. I don't know who's the actor but his acting has more personality than anyone else.
This is really not a good spoiler I am at episode 8 and the brother is really good towards her sister that I opened…
ššš its even worse that I've completed ep 12 and I still don't even know what they are posting about.
What hurt? I can't even recall the scene. I tend to skip the Shiyun scene and I dislike the Mingzhe hairstyle so my brain switches off when this side couple comes on.

The real life age gap is small. Their character's age gaps is also narrow.

That were so many scenes in the drama that I've read in my science fantasy books.
I am done. Completed the 30 episodes. Can't believed I actually finished it. I certainly hope Yang Yang finds a better drama next time.
