Sigh. Did you guys ever think that he is a young scholar FROM THE COUNTRY. Not the city capital.
Isolated. Has a blind mother right who was a washer woman. He was an orphan.
That means he was a bookworm. Probably had no childhood friends. All he has is " head " knowledge. He is good in poetry and painting.
You remember all the altruistic, idealistic young men who want to aspire to great deeds, who thinks justice will prevail?
Those sort of characters?
Then why the heck do you guys think he will suddenly develop EQ and knows how to behave and depend on others? He has his mother who depends on him. He has never learnt to depend on anyone.
You are all ascribing characteristics from some well adjusted, beloved by family and friends, confident, bold and brave man onto this skinny, naive, jealous young chap. He is behaving according to his character.
There isn't any recemption arc if there is NOTHING to improve on is there? Its like basic Writing novel 101.
Well that was very unexpected. I will now wait for tomorrow's episodes.
By the way this drama takes the cake for the consistent complaints. Previously in other dramas people just drop it. Here people are STAYING and then complaining.
I mean there are literally 10 dramas airing per week. Why do you all persist then complain? Drop it.
I normally don't say it because these statements will offend random strangers. I am honestly baffled. I dropped Everlasting Love and Blossoming Love just like that. I am not riddled with guilt or anything. I didn't bash the drama and just stopped watching.
Do people still think there is only one couple here? Hands up if anyone has watched an ensemble drama before? I have. Those KBS2 family dramas. I just have to suffer through everyone's scenes. Its what an ensemble drama is. Its not ONE couple.
Surely Perfect Match can't be your most disappointing drama? What did you do for your others? I mean... come on, its a historical drama. I don't want a modern vibe to it. I feel like saying " chill guys. Just step away if it makes you so upset. "
I've read through so many comments but haven't found one that discusses ep 16 and 17.
Ok that was an excellently done episode for a oft-used drama cliche.
It made my heart ( figuratively) feel the pain yet it wasn't slammed straight at the viewer but it just gradually built up throughout the whole drama arc.
don’t get me wrong I love ji yun but why would she be mad at eun ho for being saved by her father , it’s not…
You hated the person who caused your father to die.
Then you see him daily and love him. Every time you see now you are reminded.
When a parent dies there are days when you go along your day and life moves on. When you see him- you are reminded daily of your childhood after he left.
Its not logic we are talking about here but heartache. You can't tell your brain to not resent him and your emotions switch off like that.
😂😂😂 funnily enough my work and colleagues are the subject for exciting triller dramas., I meet tall good looking 180cm males who are super fit. Or go to the gym. They need to be. I also meet Special Forces soldiers and SWAT team people. I have worked in situations where I see a lot of Black Hawk helicopters and seen fighter jets. I love planes by the way. Fighter planes.
So a nice calm office romance is great. I enjoyed " I have a secret " or something like that. Or " a poem a day. " I find Perfect Match relaxing.
Finished it. It was funny. I am in the mood this Sat am but wasn't when it aired. My work has enough violence that I wasn't in the mood. Try concentrating on ignoring cops and yelling while trying to sort out what's urgent. That's why I wanted something sweet and clean. Perfect Match has good costumes, good acting, good looking cast, some romance and the writing may be cliched but at least you don't see a dad beating himself up- that was my life Thur at work- so yeah Study Group is drama but for some of us its our work environment. I am just saying people watch dramas for different reasons and why some of us like the romance genre. Drugs and smoking? Pfft. I can tell you the prices on the street even and when the mix changes. .
I honestly thought that Chingu will get together with her manager, as they have the same sense of humor. Not that…
What are you on about?
Chingu... who is that? Are we watching the same show?
You mean the research person and that materialistic young chap? They are compatible age and working hierarchy- wise. The team leader is giving off the ahjussi and sajangnim vibes. Colleagues of the same age and within a team romances are common in real life and in dramas. She only had some inteactions with him in the one episode.
However I was taken aback with her aeygyo in the romance more than anything.
🤣🤣 right.... everything gets boring this year as per cdramas.... nevermind, let's do some outdoor hobby…
I just went for an hour's walk. I literally have a whole week's worth of work to do at home. And my kids are doing surf sports. And I usually do 8000- 12000 steps when I am working. I work in a big department and need to check on staff.
What's happening in ep 13? I can't switch on audio at present and can't find the link to the preview. It is going to be 3 more hours.
I am on ep 32 of Flourished Peony. Skipping Study Squad this week because I am in the mood for Flourished Peony and not school violence. Love Scout comes on too late.
I've even restarted ep 1 of the Monarch? Whatever that show was. I never quite liked it so attempting to watch it again.

Then we had the probable future family scene.
MAN the writer knows how to do a build up.
Then you see him daily and love him. Every time you see now you are reminded.

I thought Netflix subbers were paid by episode. Not lines. Its not quite Google Translate but ep 14 was moderately bad. The lines were subbedcfm
Er I must admit to ignoring the subs and trusting my ears so have ignored the errors and some of the subs diluted the meaning of the scenes.

I need to relax with some drama after all these.

There is NOTHING to watch!!!
You lose the significance when titles are not translated.
Its an ongoing peeve point for me.
