Arrrhhh I see. Yeah commentators here all talk about Lishan mountain ppl. If I am not mistaken, early episodes had explanations by Ya Li that Lishan ppl are killed by officials and some escaped. Yeah nothing mentioned about her Grandfather. I may rewatch the first two episodes. Thx

Yes, could be. But what surprised me was that Emperess Dowager genuinely didn't know her mom passed away though. Do you recall the scene? Well, either way, Ye Li said once that no one asked about her mom for last 8 yrs. So if Emperess Dowager was a close friend, she would have known her death. It's so hard to predict what's going on in this drama, isn't it? Well scripted and hope it will make us wonder more 😆 in future episodes!

The romance develops slowly, but the little hints in every episode are so well done—it really gets my heart racing!　And I love the slowness to revealing secrets of Ye Li's past. Curiosity is killing me about Monkey, the imaginary girl with same monkey bites in her arm, mystery of exactly what happened to Lishan mountain..... well done, directors and screenwriter!

Mo Jing Li and Ye Li were childhood sweethearts and engaged and current young Emperor's mother forced to broke off it and made him marry Ye Li's half sister. So Prince Li still is in love with Ye Li.

I am at Ep11. I understood the very beginning of drama and FL changed the course of future, but I don't quite see what she is trying to establish. She said she would be the temporary backup to support young emperor but the story is to make ML to be the future emperor to replace the young boy bcoz he is too young?

No he is the replacement actor. The previous actor who had the position was wrongly accused of various issues, but he is all cleared . So he should be back for acting soon.

June 15? Is it official? I waited this one for so long and I am glad it will be aired, but I felt sorry for 2nd ml. Looks like he was all cleared of the issues, but I don't know why he isn't acting yet. Hope he will come back soon since I am waiting for Joy of Life 4!

Why you are not watching this drama? It's so good. Drama atmosphere drastically changed towards the ending. I just couldn't picture what would be like after happy moments for main CP..... My heart aches and anxiety is killing me......

10 more episodes to go. I have no clue how this will end. That's a good thing. This drama centers on the art of ink-making, with romance taking a back seat. I am totally okay for it. It's great to know how they make and manage the business of ink in ancient China,

If you want romance, maybe not for you. If you like family business, chinese historical drama, and if you want something like story telling drama, this is good. MDL ratings aren't really the best to judge the dramas bcoz I noticed many ppl like romance here. Non-romance tends to get low rate, such as Zhan Zhao Adventures...most recent one that I think it's a good drama, but low ratings here.

Agree. She loves both, just different type of love. If her husband was the one who die at the battlefield, she would have reacted the same way.

If you like Alen Fang here, I recommend A journey to love. his character in that drama is one of his best!!!
