Finished. I have to say it was good enough, that I didn't skip or fast forward through any episodes. Although, it was a bit boring. The ending was ok. I am use to all these dramas where they have one of the leads leave for 1 to 2 to 3 plus years or so, so it wasn't anything I would put negatively, it just seems to be a common occurrence in the dramas. I was wondering why after 3 months of hearing from him, and then not for one day, she was ready to jump on a plane and find out what was going on. Then all of the sudden 6 months go by and she still hasn't heard anything she didn't jump on a plane again. And yeah I think I would be a bit pissed if he had been back for one year and observing her without saying anything that's a bit excessively ridiculous. I think I would be a bit pissed longer than she was. Overall, the story was great a bit slow in some parts and the acting was superb.
I started watching this a couple days ago and I am episode 21 right now. I so far have a love/hate for this drama. All the acting has been great and the stories are really good. It has moments where it gets really boring and then the story picks up and then it slows down. I feel like I am watching a rollar coaster drama. Also, wtf is up with that nurse. I get the person that was euthanized at the beginning killed her kid, but why is she so hung up on that doctor, it is like he is the one responsible for killing her kid. Really? Get over yourself already. I hope they find out that she lied/forged the signature on the guy wanting to do the trial. I really hate that nurse and the lawyer and reporter supporting her.
The storyline is interesting. The acting was kind of bland and boring. I skipped a lot and still understood the storyline. True Beauty was a tiny bit similar and was so much better, especially the acting.
I am catching up on all older (pre 2018) K Dramas I haven't seen before. This is one of them. I don't usually like dramas with ghosts or any supernatural element to it, but I really enjoyed this one ( I know it was a tiny element). It was really good. The acting by the FL was outstanding. To make me love her as one character and then turn around and hate her as another character was truly done well. I really liked this drama. It was one of the few that I didn't skip any episodes.
LOL so I am finally giving this drama a shot. I basically have done what you did. Started and dropped several times. I have watched the Taiwan and Chinese adaptations of it. Really liked the Chinese one, don't remember the Taiwan one that much. I agree about the laugh as well. I actually fast-forwarded when he started laughing crazy, cause it was kind of cringe for me. So far I have made it to episode 5, really enjoying the female lead, hoping the male lead gets better, also, I have watched a few of Choi Jin Hyuk's dramas and have really liked him. So staying for glimpses of him as well. Now on to finishing it.
Just saw this article. So excited. https://zapzee.net/2022/07/25/park-seo-joon-to-reportedly-play-noh-varr-in-the-marvels/?fbclid=IwAR00C4iLTjGjVOlp3HPZ_PdytH8qvBCae_1o8-4ad54YgZRj67FtSz_8az8
A little bit late on the news, lol. I just now saw this, but still so exciting.
So I watched the Chinese adaptation of this first awhile back. I preferred it over this one. The only reason I had this on my list to watch was because of Park Seo Joon, because I watched him in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, which I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, this was just ok for me, because I watched the Chinese one, I was constantly comparing the two. I didn't like the FL that much in this version. It was rather slow and boring. I skipped a lot of scenes and fast forwarded a lot as well.
Like many others I made it for the first few episodes. Then I fast-forwarded and skipped episodes even fast-forwarded through the finale. It was very lackluster. I am not sure if it was the acting, the story, or what. It just didn't grab my attention.
Yes I love that one, I have seen all of her dramas (except for Prodigy Healer) at least once, some I have watched multiple times (Dating in the Kitchen). I have also watched her movie Autumn Fairy Tale.
As much as I love this drama, because the first 12 episodes were so freaking awesome. I am waiting til the 1st half finishes. I can't take these long pauses in between and on top of the teasers. Especially I can't handle her being in the relationship with LY, I don't want to see it all drawn out. So I am going to go and watch previous ZLS dramas to sate my appetite while I wait. Then I will come back and make more comments :)
U tell me :))))) While I was waiting for the episodes, I watched "The Long Ballad" just to get distracted :)))))…
I agree. I feel that instant chemistry, I mean like hot hot fire when Leo Wu and Zhao LuSi are together. I felt the chemistry between her and Yang Yang as well, but not near even close to what she has with Leo Wu. I don't think it is all about age, because in Dating in the Kitchen she had really good chemistry with Lin Yu Shen as well. She in a way is like Dilraba, in that they both always have great chemistry with their costars imo.
Oooookay ! Things are getting better ! And I must be the only one who really likes the mother. I mean she's strict,…
I agree about the guy following her. The thing I hate the most about most dramas be it modern or costume is how they have these characters who absolutely refuse to give up even when they are told no or its not going to happen. I get they do it for "drama" etc., but there is a point where it becomes overly annoying.
I actually don't dislike the mother either. I find her character quite compelling in fact. She's clearly struggling…
Agree, also want to add, it isn't that Niao Niao is uneducated, she is just illiterate and also doesn't know family history of the noble families (which she doesn't really care about). She has had or was not given rather a proper education. Niao Niao is very, very smart, she loves carpentry and she is very clever (example, when she discovered her grand uncle hiding in the haystack and also punching herself in the face to make the other girls look bad). I love Zhao LuSi's character in this and she does such a wonderful job at portraying this character.
