Xiao Yu, Sang Zhi's boss, is being very unprofessional. Just because her psycho friend is hung up on JiaXu, she is taking it out on Sang Zhi. This is really low class and I was enjoying all the feel good, nice and sweet moments. They didn't need to bring this hostility into the drama.
My favorite performance of her is LLTG. I also like her portrayal of Bai Feng Xi/Feng Xi Yun in WRTW.
I agree. I like her in this, but love her in LLTG. I also like her in Dating in the Kitchen. Her performance in Gen Z was really well too, but not as noteworthy as this one. I think she is just an exceptional performer overall in anything and everything she does.
How many of you were camping under TTOETM and now its Hidden Love turn?
I am almost always active with any LuSi dramas, and sometimes Bai Lu, but I still haven't watched TTOETM. I have been real critical of xianxia dramas lately. Nothing has even come close to TMOPB for me. I did like BFTB, but not much else lately. As much as I love watching Bai Lu, I may one of the few who enjoy watching her act with Xu Kai over anyone else, I just have a hard time getting the chemistry they had out of my head.
I have few I’m getting through including a bl called Tokyo in April, a kdrama of the name King the Land, and…
There is several K Dramas I want to watch, but there have been so many recent C Dramas start, that I haven't had a chance. Dr Romantic S3 just finished, so I am going to try and find it to watch it. Also, King the Land and See You in My 19th Life, I want to wait til they finish before starting them. K Dramas are usually so good and I hate waiting a week for each episode so I usually wait til they finish before watching them.
So since we have to wait 3 days for the next episode, what is everyone currently watching or going to watch in the meantime?
Myself, I am currently catching up on some American TV shows, thinking about binging the final season of Never Have I Ever. Also, might check out Vengo Gao's The Outsider. I saw Allen Ren's drama, Twilight, started today, but I am not a fan of Angelababy or I might check it out.
She has a very biased opinion. I think she is very hateful and every drama she reviews about ZLS it is always…
Yeah I saw and she hasn't even watched the whole drama. How can you give a review of a drama you haven't even fully watched? That is why I have no respect for her as a critic.
It's really weird that how much people like those 'old woman young guy' trope but when the roles are reversed,…
I agree. Honestly, I am not really a fan myself of older women, younger men, so I won't usually even watch the dramas, I feel the same about BL dramas, I just won't watch them, which also means I won't critique on them. I don't understand how they can even comment about a drama they haven't even watched more than 1 or 2 episodes of anyway. So they think they know the whole story. But, they are also ok with watching costume dramas where the girls that are suppose to be 14, 15, etc marry 20+ year olds. I understand that is how they did it back then, but isn't that still showing on tv/internet, what they are complaining about this drama. As you state, you can't be a critic of one thing and then be ok with it in a different aspect. Talk about hypercriticism.
Officially unsubscribe AVX today for my own peace of mind! I used to like her alot in the past years but not this…
She has a very biased opinion. I think she is very hateful and every drama she reviews about ZLS it is always negative. You can't be a critic and be biased imo. She is rude and I honestly don't think she watches half the dramas she critiques on. You can't just watch one or two episodes and give an honest unbiased review.
I haven’t read the novel but the drama portrayed what you said so well. I’m actually closely following real…
I can't stand AveX. I have watched a few of her reviews and after that I was done. There are the same actors or actresses (ZLS being one) she always criticizes no matter what. She is very biased. I think she is horribly rude and the worst critic I have ever seen.
Zhao Lusi has a very sweet romance with Luo Yizhou in Gen Z (which is not a romantic drama) - almost as sweet…
His drama coming up My Fireworks on Earth, I am looking forward to that starting, but the following are dramas I would recommend:
The King's Avatar (no romance, but it is a great drama) You Are My Glory (really good, his chemistry with Dilraba was off the charts, it did get a tad boring toward the end, but overall a good drama) Love O2O (great drama, I just don't like the FL, but other than that it was a really good drama)
Other than Whirlwind Girl (which I did not like, could not get through even one episode) and his movie Once Upon a Time (only watched because it was a short version of TMOPB), I haven't watched anything else he has been in. I have heard Glory of Special Forces is good, but it is another non romance drama, so I haven't really started it yet.
This drama gets better with every episode. The only negative (which really isn't that big of a negative) is the subtitles go by so fast sometimes and I have to rewind several scenes. Oh well, just means I get to rewatch some of the cute scenes again.

I wonder if it is because he doesn't really do a lot of costume dramas, or hardly any at all, so this one he just didn't seem like himself. Whereas, ZLS just flows easily between modern and costume so good, one of the few actresses that I feel can do both really well.
In Mr. Bad he was modern day and also in historical costume. He’s also in Handsome Sublings which is a Wuxia…
I am the same way, he is so good looking, but I get bored of his dramas so fast, I can't ever finish them. He seems even more stoic than Allen Ren (whom is someone I love watching). The only drama I could finish with Hu Yitian in it was Go Go Squid (the first one, couldn't even get past the first episode of the second one).

I liked her pairing with YY, but I didn't get romantic chemistry that everyone else got. I got more of a playful brother/sister vibe when I saw them together. I think that is because I was still hung up on Dilraba and YY together from YAMG, who imo had some of the best chemistry I have ever seen.
Besides Leo Wu in LLTG, I liked her with Ryan Ding in RoT&R and her pairing with Lin Yu Shen in DITK. I would also like to see her star with Xiao Zhan, whom was her 2nd ML in OME and Xu Kai, who she did a movie with, but they weren't the Main Couple, although he did play a love interest.
ZLS just brings out the best in all her MLs and she does seem to have really great chemistry with all her MLs, whether it be romantic or platonic. I think that is why she has really become one of my top favorite actresses to watch.
I am waiting for her and WL to announce another drama together 🥲🥲🥲
I have only watched the first few episodes of Love Better than Immortality, I really couldn't get into it, didn't like it much. Prodigy Healer and Hu Tong are the only 2 LuSi dramas I can say I have not seen any episodes of. I have watched everything else of hers. So thank you for letting me know, I did not know that she had done a drama with the same male lead more than once. I know Romance of Tiger and Rose helped sort of excel her career, but Oh My Emperor was the first drama that I watched her in and started loving her.

I would love it, too. But I have yet to see ZLS do a 2nd drama with any of her previous MLs. I hope it happens though. I know her and Leo Wu were in The Long Ballad together, but they weren't a couple in that.
