In addition to what has been already said, she is afraid that if she continues to pursue him and her family disowns…
Thank you for this explanation. I can see it from this point. I wish though she had had more trust in him 10 years ago. I think he would have stood by her and as well as his family they were already real supportive of them. It sucks that 10 years had to go by for them to "grow up" and really understand one another.
That’s the whole point though. You think she’s overly dramatic because you know his side of the story. As…
I can see it and I probably would have felt more emotionally invested if they hadn't of told us or shown us his side. I just couldn't feel for her, because I knew his side. That might be a bad part on the production team itself, not so much her acting. When you get both parts it is hard to be subjective or rather have that emotional pull toward one way or the other, at least that is how I see it. :)
Being honest here, I didn't get the feels and tears etc that everyone seems to have gotten over her emotional speech in Ep. 10.
My takeaway, maybe because of what he has said and what we as the viewer know, is that she is being overly dramatic. She has no clue what he went through when she basically left him 10 years ago. He wrote to her, he cried, and he got up to make himself better, so that one day he could stand proud in front of her. She is acting like she has done all this work and he has done nothing. He is probably still heartbroken and expecting her to leave him again. He doesn't want to go through all that again right now. He does still care about her. He carried that lighter for 10 years.
I don't know if it is WCR's acting or the character she is playing, but I am just kind of really aggravated with her. I mean there are moments I like her, especially when she is in her doctor role, she does so well with that, but when she is being wishy washy emotional, drunk, acting like a infatuated 10 yr old girl etc, I don't like her at all.
I will say if she is really depressed and has emotional problems and stress, she really doesn't need to be trying to get back in a relationship with him. She needs help and therapy so that she could be healthy mentally and they can start a new better relationship.
Oh and her adoptive brother looks creepy and vindictive especially standing next to that car staring at Song Yan.
ep 10 ending was strange. She just straight up guilt tripped him.
I am glad you said it, because I felt the same thing. I am not getting all the emotional tears everyone else was feeling with that scene. If anything it just pissed me off more where she is concerned.
I thought it could be because of her family pulling strings to get her into the hospital. The FL may not be fully…
Actually I think her adoptive family got her the job there or at least a position. Cause in episode 9 when she is having a conversation with her adoptive mother at the table, her adoptive mother is like " I will talk to director or someone (forgot the name) and have you put on research or something, you are to skinny and you have circles under eyes, etc." So they are pulling the strings in some aspect.
Also, that freaking adoptive mother knows every freaking thing. She knew the real reason about why her son paid 100,000 fine, etc.
I think she is more evil here than when she played the mother in Ming Lan to Yuan Ruo and she even had his servant beaten to death in that one.
So she has a psychopath, clean freak, insane, controlling adoptive mother and an adoptive father who placates the mother. If he really cared he would stand up to the witch of a woman, he just doesn't want disharmony in the family, does he even realize that he kids are so messed up because of her.
Talk about going from one extreme drama to another, coming off the sweetness of Hidden Love to the messed up, bitterness of this drama, may be to much drama to fast.
I am watching a lot of dramas at the same time.. mostly the currently airing one.Destined, Fireworks of my heart,…
I am waiting for See you in my 19th Life and King the Land to finish before I watch them. I get so impatient while watching K Dramas, so I have to wait til they finish.
Just started Fireworks of my Heart on ep. 4 and will be starting The Longest Promise as well.
I am liking the story and the friendship between Yang Yang's character and Vin Zhang's character. I am not feeling the chemistry between the main leads yet. The FL is a bit stiff and boring and right now I am really not liking her.
I am so glad I am not the only that feels this way. I don't know if it is the character or the actress, but she seems so stiff, boring, and so far the brief interactions she has had with the ML, I am not getting much chemistry. I am only episode 4 so maybe it will get better, after all there are 40 episodes of this. The story is good. I am really enjoying the rescue scenes and the MLs interactions with his coworkers.
What was that car rescue scene in ep 03? Like, leaving aside the fact that a non-impactful crash like the one…
I just watched this scene and was thinking the same thing and what happened to the driver that hit her? I mean they just ran away? and what about their car? The other driver didn't feel the need to help her out of her car? The whole scene was drama just for drama's sake, a bit over the top.
Or, if you can't access that for some reason, try kiss or cool or similar. Or patiently wait for later.
Yeah I have iQiyi, WeTV/Tencent, Viki, Youku VIP subscriptions, and I even got Mango for a month (but their subs are horrid, so I cancelled that one right away) and several others.....but Youku kept telling me all my payment methods were not available to use in my country for the express. So that is why I broke down and used Kiss, which isn't that bad.
Honestly Viki or Netflix is my preferred method to watch any of them on, but if there is a drama I really want to watch and it isn't on Viki or Netflix I will use the others. And my husband uses Crunchyroll, cause he watches exclusively anime.
