I keep thinking that the male lead expressions and actions does not look as serious and cold as in the love. Maybe because he has like a baby face and also he was very playful in Courtlady so that's what I am seeing. However I do think it will work well for the later part of the drama. I think Tong Yao is a little more assertive. These opinions do not take away from their acting as I think they are doing a good job. You cannot always portray every single thing from a novel to drama.

This isn't true. Just watching the 1st 2 episodes and I saw many changes. The order in which things happened, how she joined the team, her mother etc. But it's a good adaptation and the story is flowing so far.

So get over the female leads voice and don't get too caught up in the negative comments and just try it out for yourselves. As I think this story had a lot of great messages. I will say I read the novel and it is great. The drama is a tamer than the book, but I still love it. 9.5/10.

I also loved how they showed Yu Yao a woman in the work place in a position of leadership but also the struggles she had as a mother and a wife. I enjoyed the brotherhood between the Male leads and I do not think that the SML really liked Chu Li in a romantic manner. He just liked how different she was from Gu Bai Zhi at that low point in his life (her optimism). But it was nice when he told Zhou Chuan he liked him more. Gu Bai Zhi was another woman how had to portray a prticular image in order to stay onto of the game. We see how condescending her boss was. Glad she quit. Chu Li was a breath of fresh air with her boundless energy and sweet optimism but she was no push over and did not need Zhou Chuan to come to her aid all the time. I think how the stories in the work place, the leads falling in love and all other issues were portrayed naturally and not overly dramatic.
