❝ Today, I, Ru Yi, wish to officially bid farewell to everyone.
When I first met Ren Ru Yi, she was a top-notch assassin, a lone wolf licking the blood off her blade. Just as she said, I am the most formidable assassin in the world, somebody who have never failed.' Ru Yi always gave her all, is fearless and dedicated, but at the same time, I could feel her 'solitude'—a brave solitude and a lonely solitude. This was the impression I had of Ren Ru Yi when I first read the script. As I continued reading, I kept pondering what Ru Yi's 'dao' was. Starting from seeking revenge for Empress Zhao Jie, to later finding more meaningful goals—wanting to clear the name of the Crimson Guard, restore their freedom, protect those close to her, safeguard the peace of the people, and finally sacrificing herself to eliminate the enemy for peace in the future. In Ru Yi's view, the purpose of a warrior is to use martial skills to stop warfare, and this is the 'dao' in her heart.
I feel fortunate to have crossed paths with Ru Yi. I like her, I really like her a lot. She has changed many of my perspectives and has given me a lot of strength. From becoming Ru Yi to meeting everyone with Ru Yi, every day is filled with anticipation. I am grateful to have so many viewers who, like me, love Ru Yi. Your support has given me a lot of encouragement and motivation. This winter, thank you for your company. I hope everything goes well for everyone~
The mountains have been crossed, and the road ahead is still long. Until we meet again. ❞
i wanted to see more of LTG & YY's marriage/regency; at the end it kind of seemed like LTG enjoyed getting woman…
YY is the best match for LTG. Level headed when LTG tends to be emotional. Knows how to play politics with the court while LTG is introverted. He also can respect her as RRY's other disciple, so she can somewhat fill that void of RRY. I'm sure they'd have ruled as regents of Wu very well.
I love how well written and executed it is. Glorious pain. As for the Chu Yue part... It's for audience to decide how they want to see it. A wishful thinking or the leads surviving.
Finally finished this beautifully written wuxia last night. I'm pretty sure some have read and got spoiled about…
Before watching the last two episodes, I couldn't help but read people calling it a BAD ENDING. So after watching it until the end, I have to disagree.
Was it a HE? Definitely NOT! The ending was tragic. It was painful, is painful. But it was not what I'd call a bad ending because it was well written. Everything lead up to this ending, even the power rangers introduction. They stayed in character, perished in glory. All I can say is that the directors-writer combo are great and sadist. They way they wove the story for 2/3 of the drama to make us love the characters only to keep ripping our hearts piece by piece in the final 1/3. I lift a glass of champagne to cheer while swimming in my pool of tears.
If you can't bear the pain, stop at Episode 34 when NYZ and RRY kissed at the cave. If you can't help yourself and want to see it to the end, binge from 33-40.

Until Ep40 is now available on Viu. Going to watch from Episode 33 until the end. The writing and editing is biased for express lol it's better to watch the final episodes quickly than 2 eps a day
For someone from the past she certainly lacks grittiness, basic politics and awareness of people's hidden agenda.…
Not all noble women were educated in the scholarly books and arts. They were educated in embroidery, teas, and other various stuff needed in the household. Yes, there were some women who wanted more of what the men enjoyed and educated themselves. Why generalize it to mean all noble women should be educated enough to quickly adapt to time travel? Never have I generalized that all noble women do not care for politics and intrigues. But Park Yeon Woo is not. All she wanted was this silly thing of travelling to Qing and making money through making clothes. She did not want for more. She WAS a naive and sheltered noble young woman.
For someone from the past she certainly lacks grittiness, basic politics and awareness of people's hidden agenda.…
Even in Joseon, Yeon Woo would do all these things and Sa Wol was always the one who gets her out of a pickle. YW came home late, SW had a mannequin as silhouette shadow. YW wanted to get into the Kang residence and pretend as maids, SW's quick thinking prevented them from getting exposed by the old maid.
For someone from the past she certainly lacks grittiness, basic politics and awareness of people's hidden agenda.…
you seem to put noble women in high regard hahaha olden times noble daughters were married off to noble sons, then become part of the noble son's family. what basic politics? what awareness of people's hidden agenda? noble daughters were not part of that. while she did want to go off and travel to qing, it's not like she was street smart like her servant. besides she was pretty spoiled by her grandfather and father.
which country ? Im from Indonesia but still on eps 34, watching the remaining eps on kissh asia thank god lol
PH. try to refresh it. it should come out. they're releasing the episodes early i think coz of how heavy the rest of the episodes are, they need to get it out before people think to stop watching - or go to kssh or piracy sites.
It really bothers me that they just made Jiang Zhan a puppet for Long Zhi. It just feels like a cop out. This…
Unfortunately, that was how the novel wrote the character. But I agree that his character is pathetic, but has not shown very strong will (always following YLX in everything) to not choose the ending he chose for himself. The guilt he must have felt betraying YLX and being the one who brought the traitor in was that strong. He was told that Long Zhi was his responsibility, so that was how he took responsibility for his mistake. Stupid (given YLX bartered his freedom) but not out of character.
Ren Xin is indeed THE legendary assassin!! Latest eps speak volume why many ppl fear her and why NYZ alwys say…
She's softer in that she's no longer hardwired to kill without second thought, but it does not make her weak. She remains strong but more humane. Really have to give this writer a standing ovation with how these characters are written and their growth.
The preview suprised me!!NYZ to the rescue!! Omg the way RRY said his name when she saw him😍🥹The truth is…
It was weird that he asked for a carriage then next scene they were just at a deck. But mind does wonders that it makes you assume they were simply waiting for that carriage at that moment.
RRY vs female scarlet guard at the temple door: That cut from her younger days when she deftly avoided the same strike then cut back to present where she was stabbed meant she could definitely have done the same but took that blow intentionally. Adding the line "You lost" meaning she did not lose.
RRY vs LTG at the rooftop: She executes a practiced move knowing LTG will follow the moves as he has been taught. So she could take that strike intentionally.
RRY not fighting to kill even in the face of imminent death is so different from RRY when the series started. She would just kill off anyone who was in her way without second thought.
On a side note, how many times did RRY intentionally accept getting stabbed in these two episodes. You crazy assassin you. Oh and remember when she stabbed NYZ in the cave when she was injured? She knew where to stab avoiding his vital points, so it was not lethal. So for sure she knows where to stab that will hurt but not kill.

Edit. They added 36 already.
Congrats!
