Okay, but is the "freshman" couple - Plug and Nano - related to the director. They aren't listed in the cast. Meen/Bright are credited as the 2nd couple but that couple definitely has way more scenes than them. Also their characters are annoying af, not helped by the loud and over-the-top acting, and their plot/scenes look like an after-thought that was forced into the narrative because the director/editor was threatened or bribed.
And sorry to be THAT girl, but they dont fit the visual asthetic (in Mean Girl words, they ugly), especially that mullet. It's not doing anybody any favours.
I wouldn't blame netizens but predatory media. Unfortunately MDL is one.
Dude u are literally a VIP member. Did u pay them ironically with 'I hate you lots" message? Or is this a rebellion because they rejected your article or something?
You offer a reasonable speculation and I don't think anybody will come at you. I agree wholeheartedly.
I have been feeling this way since I saw The Boyz Juyeon and Stray Kids Han or Hyunjin having 28-29" waists on Weekly Idol (remember they are about 6' tall so they should be atleast 36-38 to be "normal" BMI) everyone being HAPPY and excited and calling them sexy. Like, no! 28-30" waist on 6' guy isnt sexy, it's sickly. The guy is practically a walking skeleton so don't celebrate it.
We all talk about unhealthy body standards for ramp models and female idols (a conversation that NEEDS to be had) but please also talk about male idols.
EXACTLY. I'd love to see the government shut down the industry until it's been fully and openly investigated.…
I saw you fighting a lone battle in the comments and I couldn't stand it. I grieve for the guy but this isnt just the fans and his mental health that needs to be addressed. This is a system of glamourized child abuse and grooming that fans overlook because the songs are catchy and idols are pretty. The corporations keep making while these poor kids are just a canon fodder sacrificed to fill their pockets.
I know the fans will probably come at me, but personally I think he didn't commit suicide (keep in mind that it is a mere speculation by the police so far) but his heart just gave out. As Astro and Moonbin-Sanha, both promoting, he was probably overworked. Idols are forced into horrible diets during promo period, ESPECIALLY the dance line like Moonbin who are known/expected to wear revealing clothes on stage so they are under a constant pressure to be sexy. I mean, we are talking about a 25yr old adult male with 6-6'2 ht and 28-30" waist (my 14 YR OLD niece has a 30" waist).
Forced dieting, overwork, maybe excessive exercises to keep that PERFECT body, plus the constant stress of public scrutiny and his poor heart just gave out.
I don't think I am taking anything away from mental health discussions, but keep in mind that these idols aren't just mentally unhealthy, they are ALSO physically unhealthy. We need more regulations, not just to help their mental health but also their physical health.
As a suicide attempt survivor , I could say that psychological pain is similar to physical pain that cannot be…
As a survivor, "professional help" does jack shit if your other circumstances dont change. Not all people who attempt suicide are haunted by inner demons, some do it because they dont have any other way to escape their life circumstances. Especially if the "failed attempt" is seen as nothing but a coward's threat (You are such a failure that u even failed at killing yourself. Fun times)
For me, personally, changing my profession and cutting off the toxic people in my life helped more than any professional ever could.
EXACTLY. I'd love to see the government shut down the industry until it's been fully and openly investigated.…
Because these "stars" are dine a dozen. The rewards they reap are 500x what they pump into these kids to turn them into idols and and like u yourself pointed out, he will keep making them money even after his death. Just wait until they pop out a new "grief" song or start a "Goodbye Moonbin concert" or special edition Moonbin merch and fans will be shitting themselves to throw money at, the company. Hell, it will probably be more money than he ever earned them alive.
Also, they dont want healthy, emotionally stable idols because they aren't easy to control. Which is why corporations are hiring yojnger and younger trainees, keeping them isolated from everyone including their own families and debuting them them younger and younger, so they are constantly in the public eye and the only people they can depend on physically, mentally, emotionally, financially are their agencies.
It is nothing but glamourized child slavery and people will keep ignoring it because they are "pretty"
Everyone has their own way of coping with grief...anger, sorrow, laughter, trolls, ignorance, absence etc...and…
I agree that everyone has their struggles and pressures, esp in public eye, but reading and hearing constant hate does no wonders to an already fragile mind. It doesn't matter that haters didnt know the specificities of this guy's mental health, it's just basic courtesy to not constantly spew hate on others when u dont want it happening to you.
oh just shut up its a Historical dress ..why making fun of those clothes when you dont even know what it is
No. That is a bathrobe, unless it is a historical bathrobe. As a longtime fan of Xianxia and Wuxia, as well as Chinese period/costume dramas in general, I can say with full authority that it is no dress. He is wearing a bathrobe with pyjama pants.
I wonder why the three are able to see the supernatural stuff...
Their names are connected. In ep 4, CGY explains that Yan in his name means "inkstone" while Ying in cop's name means "Paper". Inkstone, inkstick, paper and brush are "Four Treasures of Study" (wiki)
By that logic, Yong is either brush or inkstick. I think it's brush, coz he has his grandfather's brush and he is the holder... but hopefully a chinese speaker can clarify and the old lady ghost (that haunted grandpa) is probably the inkstick.
Also, the corpse wasnt exactly a secret. I mean he was practically a viral phenomenon when he finally came to Yiyong, so the cop could easily see him, same as everyone else. Yiyong wasnt exactly special in that regard.
For the tree girl, she probably latched onto Yiyong's essence through his menu, which is why CGY could only see a couple of leaves and not the whole girl until Yiyong drew her. The cop could only see her AFTER she saw the picture herself.
It is illegal in Hollywood to harm or kill animals so no, everything on Game of Thrones is special effects and…
If the deer was real, which I HIGHLY doubt, the it was killed with permission. Some places allow people to hunt because deer are considered pests. In my village peacocks are a farm pest, but it is illegal to kill unless there is a forest official present and only if there is no other choice. We cant exactly relocate the birds since we are living inTHEIR land, but sometimes it's a necessity.
I don’t get all the talk about animal abuse, honestly it’s sad to see an animal die but it’s only getting…
Uh no. In most countries, if u are using animal actors atleast in past 20 or so years, there is a trained professional team to handle that animal as well as animal activist to make sure there is NO harm or abuse to the animal (my mom is an activist, one of her friends is a coordinator to Bollywood). All the scenes with animals being slaughterd, murdered etc etc are fake. Hell, even fishing scenes are filmed at designated spots and unless it's a food/cooling show with permission to actually hunt, they practice catch and release method for camera, then use the supermarket fish to cook.
And sorry to be THAT girl, but they dont fit the visual asthetic (in Mean Girl words, they ugly), especially that mullet. It's not doing anybody any favours.
