Obviously there are big cultural differences that explain why our FL is breaking up not just with a man but with…
it’s not just cultural but it seems that their moms grew up together, and from there they also are long time friends? there is a lot of history between them and their families.
With the cultural aspect, it’s true like most Asian parents, especially of older generation, there are expectations that marriage betters all parties (and their families). FL is very aware that her family has put all this hope on them especially with how long term they have been. And equally she has the same awareness that she and her family cannot measure up to the standards that the ML father has. so she’s been caught in this triangle for years since he also won’t let her go. For PYA, she is the safe place he can control since he has to listen to his father and live the life his father has mapped for him. he’s weak and entitled and he wants to have it all. I don’t think I’ve ever hated a drama character so much.
Ikr... for your first paragraph... when I watch the convo I think she's kinda selfish! I hope it's just emo distress.
but she told PYA in the end that she went to see his dad to tell him that they are over. she wanted to make it very clear. I don’t see any wrong in that?
Woooooow!!!!The first 6 episodes are so worth losing my sleep on! Production-wise, it was not the best, but...everything…
yesssss! when he asked her again why she liked him…. I think he really wanted to try and justify the feelings that she’s provoking in him. he looked crushed when she gave the same flippant reply. and you nailed it when you said about his character growth. cannot wait for more!
Omg... planning to see this but With all the reviews and comments...I guess imma skip this .. I love writing novel…
it’s actually better than I expected. I’ve blitzed through first six episodes in 2 nights. looking forward to the development of the show and the romance.
