Lol i agreed. Kdramas quality nowadays is pretty average. Just look at the on going kdramas right now. Nothing new and exceptional, early 2023 got the most average on going kdramas ever. Even the biased site like MDL gave low rating to most of on going kdramas right. Around 7+ rating. Just one or two who achieved above 8+.

Even korean historical dramas are also average. No one can beat chinese dramas in period costume, martial arts (wuxia), fantasy (xianxia), and historical genres. Cdramas is still the best in that field.

The new sageuk kdrama "Our Blooming Youth" is even adapted from chinese novel "The Golden Hairpin". Just like Mr Queen and Scarlet Heart Ryeo.

Chinese dramas are gaining more recognition day by day with their quality dramas from international market. And i am happy for it.

So, this is a BL? Or just detective bromance drama?

This drama made me fall in love in the first sight. I really love the chemistry between Wu Lei n Zhao Lusi. It's indeed a slowburn romance but they had sexual tension towards each other in one frame. I am not talking about passionate kisses, they just did normal kisses, but even with only their eyes n body language, they already made me "nervous".

So i dont understand for someone who judged the chemistry and acting so early without watching it properly + got zero connection in story n its emotions. I wont say anything if that person dislike this drama after trying to watch it in proper manner....but some random clips? Lol no valid for me

No matter what. This is subjective like you said. So no need to bring "unbiased" statement or whatsoever.

Many people here also loved ZLS - Wu Lei chemistry. It worked on many people. Not only me. That is also one of the strong reason why this drama achieved great success in both domestic n international market.

If you want to judge the chemistry n acting, then you should watch the drama properly, not only some scenes. You will find them in zero chemistry if you have zero connection to the story.

Zhao Lusi and Wu Lei chemistry was so great. I felt their sexual tension towards each other even with only eyes movement and body language.

What I loved the most is their sexual tension. It was already shown from ep 1. Their first meeting.

You know what. Something that feels like this guy can throw himself and kiss her passionately + bring her to bed immediately. There was much sexual tension in their interactions and this drama captured that vibes well. Plus their bodies are suited with each other. The FL is so slim, the ML has a firm body with broad shoulder. Yummy.

I enjoyed their chemistry A LOT.

I also liked the sexual tension between Ling Bu Yi and Cheng Shao Shang. I want them to kiss passionately actually :p plus bed scenes if needed.

I think it's pretty good. Not overly enjoy because this is noona romance. And i dont really like older woman - younger man. So it will have different vibes for you if you liked it.

It is a happy end. But yeah like kdrama ending. Similar like that.
