Like I said in my review, they always give off this soulmate kind of energy whenever they're in the same frame together. Like they're a unit, one team, joined at the hip kind of way. So I could never imagine her with anyone else but LSY and the possibility of them not ending up together was unacceptable to me hehe.

No, that's actually a good way of storytelling. After the whiplash thing, was on the edge of my seat to find out what went wrong. They've done a good job building up that dramatic tension. (And they've added so much detail in the symbolism dept too, watch out for her jar of stars in that scene) The plotholes mostly have to do with the whole shen duo thing. She creates a lot of misunderstanding between XXJ and LSY. And it's never fully explained till xiaoju asks him about it in the proposal scene. She asks him even before, directly calling out Shen Duo's name, but he snaps back at her. So that thing wasn't really resolved well, leading to unanswered questions.

Actually, he breaks off all contact with her even before he leaves but she desperately tries to get jn touch with him after he leaves. Calls, emails the whole thing. But few things lead her to believe that he and Shen Duo are together and that's when she gives up trying to get in touch with him.
Yes, Tao Tao's whole arc is very satisfying. Their moments are also heart touching especially towards the end. The actors have absolutely slayed the emotions and Huang Jun made me cry ðŸ˜

True. They both show signs of impulsiveness but he took a very big life decision almost instantaneously and it's shown in such a way in the drama that you get whiplash. Like everything is going well and suddenly, boom, outta nowhere, he's off.

Yup, cheesy but I like it lol. Many people thought the whole proposal scene was too public, cringe and tropey. But i like it tbh the lights, balloons, confetti the whole shebang. Yeah, the whole Shen Duo thing never went anywhere but caused huge misunderstanding which also made Xiaoju give up on him. It's a jumbled mess, like I said. One thing I noticed about Xiaoju is that she continue the chase in her own crab-like way till the guy actually gets a gf. Once she thinks/knows he has a gf, she makes herself give up. It's so sad though :"(

I have checked out Under The Power but i got bored midway. Maybe I'll take it up again someday soon. I don't watch a lot of contemporary dramas but i want to check out YAMG, I've heard good things about it. I don't do well with sad endings tbh and I've heard the reincarnation aspect is not that well explored in the sequel, I mean no callbacks to their orginal characters, they have completely different personalities or some such. I completely understand. I was a good girl till around ep 30 but it was getting so nerve wracking and we had to wait 4 days for the subbed episodes. So i watched all the remaining non subbed episodes in one go 🙈. I didn't watch the kisses since i wanted to maintain that surprise. But i feel you. And yes, that proposal scene was amazing!!!! There was so much emotions in their eyes. Relief, happiness and possessiveness almost. I loved how his hands just kind of swallowed her head and she leaned in with happiest smile. Aaaah i screamed when I saw that scene hehe.

I loooved ep 19!! That hug scene omg!!! All their hugs are my favorite!! you're going at a very fast pace, if you plan to watch all through the weekend you'll be done in a couple of days. It does get angsty here and there but there are a lot of lighthearted moments between the leads which makes it all bearable. They both get closer and closer as the episodes progress. Ep 21-24 are super angsty though. Yes, that's when he leaves and he's very dumb even in those instances.
