No one knows but it's obvious that everyone except Xiaoju was in on the plan. Tao Tao is the bestest friend ever.
True. They both show signs of impulsiveness but he took a very big life decision almost instantaneously and it's shown in such a way in the drama that you get whiplash. Like everything is going well and suddenly, boom, outta nowhere, he's off.
He has a sweet tongue , So sometimes it does seem like he has feelings. But he hasn't (:
Yup, cheesy but I like it lol. Many people thought the whole proposal scene was too public, cringe and tropey. But i like it tbh the lights, balloons, confetti the whole shebang. Yeah, the whole Shen Duo thing never went anywhere but caused huge misunderstanding which also made Xiaoju give up on him. It's a jumbled mess, like I said. One thing I noticed about Xiaoju is that she continue the chase in her own crab-like way till the guy actually gets a gf. Once she thinks/knows he has a gf, she makes herself give up. It's so sad though :"(
Yayyy!! HYX has a love interest?!! Man, i am really looking forward to her next CP.
I have checked out Under The Power but i got bored midway. Maybe I'll take it up again someday soon. I don't watch a lot of contemporary dramas but i want to check out YAMG, I've heard good things about it. I don't do well with sad endings tbh and I've heard the reincarnation aspect is not that well explored in the sequel, I mean no callbacks to their orginal characters, they have completely different personalities or some such. I just didn't feel called to check out those 2 dramas. Yes, I love the TuJu couple with all my heart so you can see my love for bickering couples, as we discussed somewhere else.
I don't remember such interactions between the characters of Allen and HYX in the novel , they were always at…
Looking forward to it, not the nerves part but the rest. From the trailer and stills, i can tell that they'll be an interesting looking couple, aesthetics wise.
So true! Although despite everything that happened, I still don't hate Huan Jun, i don't know... The actor was able to make that character endearing to me lol

Yup, you nailed it. However i do think his decision to leave for zurich (i said US somewhere else, my bad... Can't find that comment now) was very impulsive, purely to leave all that emotional pain behind and get a clean break as you said.
Yaaass they both looked so good, Shiyi cleans up well in a suit. I have watched that scene so many times, it's embarrassing lol. I can write a detailed analysis of all their microexpressions at this point lmao.

I can't wait to see a female super villain too! And yes, TLB is the best historical drama for me this year. A River Runs Through It is probably my top drama of 2021 , definitely has my favorite couple of the year (and probably forever lol I'm still not over themðŸ˜). I am a little hesitant about checking out OAO and FAE, the synopsis is not my cup or tea, especially since the first one has a sad ending and the contemporary one is not as good as the first (or so I've heard) mixed reviews have kept me from watching it.
Aww you definitely injected some much needed positivity in this comment section. I honestly liked the CGI, maybe…
I don't mind, I dig that! I hope they stay true to the source material so that we can seen all these interaction. Will be posting another bts of Allen and HYX
I completely understand. I was a good girl till around ep 30 but it was getting so nerve wracking and we had to wait 4 days for the subbed episodes. So i watched all the remaining non subbed episodes in one go 🙈. I didn't watch the kisses since i wanted to maintain that surprise. But i feel you. And yes, that proposal scene was amazing!!!! There was so much emotions in their eyes. Relief, happiness and possessiveness almost. I loved how his hands just kind of swallowed her head and she leaned in with happiest smile. Aaaah i screamed when I saw that scene hehe.
Finishing 15 and it seems like relationship musical chairs; everyone likes someone but not the ppl they'll end…
They confront this aspect in the drama. They're all such great friends that no one wishes to jeopardize their friendship by making it complicated with their feelings involved. Both Xiaoju and Shiyi say this at one point.
I loooved ep 19!! That hug scene omg!!! All their hugs are my favorite!! you're going at a very fast pace, if you plan to watch all through the weekend you'll be done in a couple of days. It does get angsty here and there but there are a lot of lighthearted moments between the leads which makes it all bearable. They both get closer and closer as the episodes progress. Ep 21-24 are super angsty though. Yes, that's when he leaves and he's very dumb even in those instances. It's not an accident that she misses him, he makes that happen very deliberately as you'll see in the drama. He in a way breaks all contact with her even before he leaves for the US.
The writing is weird, not gonna lie. But till then WRC has done such a great job with the character that by that point you've completely fallen in love with Lu Shi Yi. And by then Xiaoju also does lot of dumb things. I mean not dumb things per se but she hesitates a lot, walking backwards or sideways like a crab, while he is chasing her desperately. Ep 34 is heartwrenching for both of them. :'(
Yes, that's why I said both their character development take a hit in the last two episodes. The motivations are not clearly shown. Hence, with the way Shiyi acts once he comes back, i kinda sympathise more with the FL because at least her actions and reactions are understandable. His are not lol. But I am in the minority. Most viewers actually sided with the ML, saying she didn't deserve him or whatever (i mean, if I were in XXJ's place I would've smacked him lol so she took it pretty well considering his antics when he comes back) I would advise you to form your own judgement
