They sometimes have meals together but yeah, mostly in the university they all meet together verg rarely. Mostly for a few meals here and there or in the basketball court
Yes, as Arunima pointed out the moment their grown up life starts is where the writing takes a dive. Before that they do an excellent job setting up conflicts and resolving them. For the last one, even ardent admirers and loyal lovers of the drama can say that the resolution of the last misunderstanding is not executed properly. You have to be ready though, both our beloved leads can be a little frustrating at times . But what i love about them is that they both have startling moments of self awareness (as in they admit what they're doing/about to do is stupid) which shows maturity well beyond their. And sometimes, they do act as immaturely as their age would suggest

Haha that or they are the writers of typical chinese dramas. What's refreshing about this drama that it doesn't have those typical cdrama cliches and tropes that we find in abundance in other cdramas (even youth dramas) . It's a slice of life kind of drama, till ep 34. But ep 35 and 36 are written in a typical cdrama style. So they pale in comparison to the rest of the drama which is *chef's kiss*. As i said, i still like the ending. And the critical and discerning viewers also liked the ending. But the process of getting there, in ep 35 and 36 , leaves much to be desired.
Hehehe yeah I do. I am the complete opposite, spoilers are sacrilege to me and i was spoiled for this drama so many times because i watched it as it aired π₯² I want to twll you but that particular misunderstanding involves props with a specific symbolism, the connotations of that misunderstanding are such that they involve multiple scenes and conversations. So i think you wouldn't understand even if I attempt to explain it to you now. It calls back to several previous episodes and scenes. It's a jumbled mess of a misunderstanding lol. And very trivial in hindsight but the ML doesn't know that so it's a big deal for him and hurts him a lot.

No, this misunderstanding happens in ep 34. So they had 2 more episodes to patch it up, but the writinf takes a completely weird turn and it's kind of (?) resolved by the end but not really lol. Many viewers believe that the misunderstanding is never resolved in a satisfactory manner before the HEA.

No, she starts developing feelings for him sometime around ep 30. But she hesitates a looot because he is her best friend and she doesn't wish to hamper their friendship. She also second guesses her feelings a lot, because she doesn't have the same butterflies-in-the-stomach inducing, nervous kind of romantic feelings for the ML. It's more solid dependence and can't-live-without/never-leave-me kind of feelings. So when compared to her teenage crush, she doesn't realise what is true love in this case. And that costs her in the end. She realises too late.
He gets with the ballerina girl but their love story arc is filled with twists and turns. And that directly affects the FL, and in relation the ML. I wouldn't say after 30 , it's starts to get even more interesting then in fact. The drama follows the novel very closely till ep 34 . Ep 35 and 36 are rushed, that is when the plot and character development wobble. There are plotholes and unanswered questions in the last 2 episodes, but till then the writing, plot, characters and acting remains pretty solid (the acting remains solid throughout for the way they're written). But if you like slow burn stories, till ep 33 you'll enjoy it. There are a few misunderstandings but they're resolved quickly, till the very end when one misunderstanding kind of becomes the plot device

She never gets the chance to confess her love. But she decides to give up on SML in ep 27 because of the love story arc of SML. Ep 14,15,16,18,19, 23,25, 28,29,30, 32, 33 are my favorite. Lots of development in the plot, character and acting in these episodes.

Hmm I'd say yes. In fact, these two are the only ones who know the full extent of each other's problems in life (even non love related). So they do have conversations about their family, education, career etc.
There is a big realisation scene coming soon. It's really cute. And they both are dense when it comes to love and romance and the feelings of the people around them, especially FL. She forms all her opinions through her discussion with her best friend and whatever she read in the teen magazine. Well, I mean, they're still pretty young. 18-19 or so. And they were born in an age when internet was of the stone age variety and basically no social media. So there naivety and innocence shows, the good ole 90s.

No, not for most of the drama. Their friendship in fact becomes even more solid and they develop a very close bond. They're basically stuck at hip throughout.
Haha no, not that way. As i said, he does mellow down as he matures and grows. But you'll find that him and XXJ are like fire and oil, they're very explosive together. They're perfectly good and reasonable human being with others. It's only when they're together that they show different aspects of their personality. Nobody can get a rise out of XXJ like LSY and no one can stand up to his pushy and dominant personality, giving as good as she gets, like XXJ. I feel that they're real, uninhibited selves only with each other. No one can affect LSY more than XXJ, and vice versa.

It does seem in the beginning that the SML has feelings for her but later you'll find out he's just sweet and kind. But if course, the FL also thinks like us so there's this misunderstanding of hers that he also likes her. Her character is such that when it comes to her own personal problems, she is never able to gather any courage, she becomes insecure, hesitant and second guesses everything. She is very courageous and determined when it comes to helping and defending her friends though. Also, you'll see much later that the ML (and the FL) don't want their friendship to be compromised or be in danger due to their feelings, hence even he doesn't have the balls to tell her/show her yet as you said.
Oh yes, he's emotionally stunted. He has a difficult time expressing his love, care and affection. It becomes slightly better in the mid 10s and 20s episodes but the love-hate aspect of their relationship never really goes away.
