I'm the same, I need some good recs to move on but I bet it'll be hard to top ARRTI especially with my current…
I haven't watched remembrance of things past but I want to. Need to be in the right mindset for it. A short form drama would be wonderful to watch before binging through all the episodes of ARRTI again.
YES! I think her acting is fine but I just can't stand her voice at times. Think her acting career could go much…
I just can't get past her deliberate and forced cuteness to even appreciate her acting. In a love so romantic, her character has a questionable arc but at least she doesn't have that pout and exaggerated gestures that i saw in I've fallen for you and moonlight, so I liked her acting in that.I immediately stop watching when I come across any FL doing that forced cute thing. It's cringe.
Please suggest dramas to get over ARRTI. The current crop of dramas seem so unimpressive that I'm really having a hard time moving on to a new drama. I am not a fan of youth dramas (ARRTI was an exception) or crime/thriller dramas. Rest everything is fine, have partial preference towards historical dramas though. P. S. : I will be checking out Wang Rui Chang's newest Dear Diary. Just waiting for it to finish. As a rule, I never watch on going dramas, love to binge through a series (again ARRTI is the only exception to that rule)
I wanted to watch this but the FL started talking and I thought she was a baby. She sounds like a squeaky baby.…
There are so many chinese actresses who do that to appear cute. I don't get it, being a baby is supposed to be attractive? Is it a cultural thing for them? I just find it so annoying and I instantly stop watching such FLs. The only actresses I've seen who don't resort to excessive pouting and high pitched voice to act 'cute' are Hu Yi Xuan, Yang Zhi Wen and Zhao Lu Si.
I like HJ at the start, then i dont like him but start to like him again after the breakup especially the last…
I think it really drives home the message of this drama, that we don't appreciate what we have until it's gone. That we should not take our good fortune for granted.
Thanks for sharing. She play the role of luo jin sang, read some fans said it's something about butterfly spirit.…
Their styling looks so good. I really like the colours. I am fed up of seeing all white clothes in the xianxia genre. These type of characters do suit her well and I can't wait to see her chemistry with the entire cast. I am really excited for this drama too because I have a soft corner towards merfolk stories.
I liked his character. The girl showed him multiple times how much she was in love with the other guy and she…
Yes, you're right, I wish it was shown rather than told. And the character development of both Shiyi and Xiaoju wobbled in the last 2 episodes since it was written by the script writers, it's not part of the actual novel. So we see signs of all the cliches chinese dramas are known for 🙄. I did enjoy many moments in the last 2 episodes but the overall execution is pretty poor, ngl. And they're both shown as very impulsive throughout their college life. He himself was not really willing to leave her and go abroad as shown in his hesitancy in accepting that application from his professor. She, of course, didn't want to come in the way of his career and future which is why she didn't give him any answer. It is shown later (through a dream sequence 🙄) that she was going to confess to him and say that she would wait for him. Till then the misunderstanding had already happened and he had stopped replying to her messages. They're both extremely emotionally driven characters who are at the age when friendship and love seem like your whole world, I mean they must be barely 21 when this whole sequence panned out. It's customary to take flighty, impulsive and immature decisions at that age 😂 in a way, I'm glad that he left. Xiaoju needed a wake up call to know that she can't hold onto everything around her and expect everything to remain the same, basically that she can't have her cake and eat it too. One thing I love about this drama is that it made me a think a lot. When a piece of media I consume provides so much food for the brain, I think the time I invested in it is well spent. Their characters should've been maintained the way they were till the end. I have thoughts about why Shiyi acted the way he did , both when he impulsively left and when he came back. But then these are my interpretations and it'd be different for different people. But it does jog your brain and I love that about this drama.

Yes, in ep 36 it's shown that he calls her to the beach in the morning and she searched for him frantically. I think after significant time had passed, he finally called her and said he had an emergency at the hospital. When they meet again that evening, he tried to explain to her that he had 2 operations in his hospital (he says this dialogue so it's clear that he is a doctor) but she wouldn't listen to him as she was fixated by this idea that he always leaves without saying goodbye and that he was just playing around with her feelings. I think he tore the application after that scene in the sports ground because she blushed when he got too close to her and gave the same excuse which he had given before when he had also blushed around her. So he knew it was an excuse and said is it too hard to admit that you like me. She got shy and ran away. I think that's what he took as a sign and tore the application. After that, the misunderstanding with CL happened.
There's also one thing I can't forget about that drama is that " Finally the interesting, playful, yet charming, funny,…
He is the best male lead for me, period. He has set the bar so high. And I know what you mean, as someone who was Team Jung Hwan and Team Seojun in those popular korean youth dramas, I am so glad that a character like them finally gets the girl.
Definitely, for once I didn't feel like there was a single plothole regarding the 90s settings and yet it's definitely…
There are a lot of these details in the drama which I loved. Never thought I'd see a pager again hehe. And I really like how Xiaoju's pager was pink in colour. Also, the clothes and styling really brought the 90s to life.
Some more BTS with other cast members
Edit: Can anyone tell me which song is used in this edit?

I mean, what can be cuter than this!
