It just came to my mind rn, but does anyone know why Wu Shi Guang's surname is Wu? His foster parents are Cang…
Wu Shi Guang Wu (伍) - Just mean 5 Shi (拾) - to gather or to collect Guang (光) - light ,moments, or memory
Shi Guang (拾光) - to gather light
in the context of the story, Since he is created from the 9 dragon son reverse scale, who are basically the good guy or in a sense light. It also could mean a lot now since we all about time loop. It also very poetic that his name mean to gather moments or memory.
The last 2 minutes of this episode.. Fantasy pro max. 😍😍😘🫠The effects, cgi, music. Especially the last bit, wuyi crying in the background while baize was running.
I have to say ju jing yi really improved in her acting and I've been noticing these changes since in blossom. Today's episode was really good and confusing at the same time glad they cleared that up at the end of the episode and it's making me wonder how the drama will end, will we be getting a Special episode? Who else noticed that mu long and you chi kind of likes each other, and why is wu wangyan suddenly sooo soft she wasn't this soft, but ig because of the new experiences she had she's changed.
is it the sign to not watch the episode they will release every day starting tomorrow while it's ongoing, and wait it until to be complete?🥲 Idk what scenario I will make to calm my mind on what will happened to them next, everytime I finished watching the latest episode... grabe nmn kasi youku binibitin mo nmn kasi kami ehhh🥲
NEVER trust what Lu Wuyi says cuz this girl is something else rn. She's willing to do anything to save the man she loves, and if she has to manipulate everyone, she will. I love unreliable narrators. Lu Wuyi is really Ju Jingyi's best written character so far, and definitely my favourite female lead ever.
According to Maoyan Professional Edition data, Ju Jingyi's portrayal of "Lu Wuyi" in Veil of Shadows has become the champion of Maoyan's weekly character popularity ranking for the 14th week! 🏆 🔥👏🏻🥳💕
Some people who underestimated Tian Jiarui as an actor are likely those who did not watch him in MJTY or FOF. He stole attention in MJTY for the excellent portrayal of the youngest Gong family member and was shining in FoF even more as one of the leading characters. As one of the main cast in Veil of Shadows, TJR has tons of chances to show off his awesome acting performance. Not only that he had to play several characters but slayed those roles flawlessly. Whether it was the innocent adorable warm and kind red fox, to the desperate broken hearted dragon deity, screaming his frustration out of his lungs or quiet sadness from his lover's betrayal. Exquisite! Tian Jiarui has done a great job in this drama and deserves more love and recognition 💕
Timeline based on what was shown in the episode and the consequences of time travel!
So the latest episode introduces the core time travel concept.
It’s still unclear at the moment because we don’t know the original starting point.
We know that Ji Shi (the thing that came out of Ji Ling) is what offers Lu Wu Yi the ability to time travel, or at least we think that’s what happened.
Lu Wu Yi is trying to prevent Ji Ling from dying. That’s where we are right now.
The Loop (Current Understanding)
The loop seems to go like this:
Lu Wu Yi witnesses Ji Ling’s death Ji Shi appears and offers her the power to go back in time She goes back to try to change the past Ji Shi’s Origin (Key Clue)
The ending line of the flashback, when Ji Shi merges with Ji Ling, is a strong clue.
I believe this points to Ji Shi’s original timeline.
Something must have happened that caused Ji Ling to become Ji Shi. This might be what Chi Wen hinted at when he said Ji Ling was unique, neither human nor demon, the loneliest kind of existence.
Evidence of a Separate Timeline
There seems to be a different timeline where Ji Ling becomes Ji Shi.
In Episode 22 at 41:54, if you pause, you can see Ji Ling protecting Mu Long. That moment suggests the flashback is from the Hanba arc in a different timeline.
Something clearly went wrong there.
People seem to be blaming both Ji Ling and Mu Long, and we don’t see any of the other characters, which could mean they died in that timeline.
The Paradox
An interesting thing is that if this is what created Ji Shi, him giving Lu Wu Yi power to change fate would ultimately be the reason Ji Shi never existed, as the timeline where Ji Ling gets blamed for everything would never happen.
But now Ji Ling, with Ji Shi's memories, is trying to prevent that… thus the loop will continue if LWY can prevent Ji Ling from dying by sacrificing herself, which would, in turn, create Ji Shi again.
