I haven’t started it yet… should I watch now or wait until all the episodes are out? Also, is there a chance…
You need to start now imho, the plot is complex & convulated, it'd be more helpful & fun to watch them as it airs as you can discuss it with many who watch it at the sametime, people can easy get lost if they watch it alone esp those w/ short time span 🙃
At the beginning of the drama: The youngest formless moon member who obeyed whatever the 'fox queen' ordered her to do. The cunning nine tailed demon who flirted and lied without shame. The unfeeling fox who killed without any remorse, a contrast to Wu Wangyan who shed tears after a kill.
Up to episode 18: The lonely formless moon member who was not noticed by others and felt so touched when Jiling saw her. A fox demon who loved flowers and hated the blood on her hands and was not happy after killing a child. A lover. She stood in front of Jiling instinctively when he faced imminent danger, did not steal or swap his ring, sad when he left her and brightened up upon seeing him and hearing his name. A good friend and sister. She lied for Wangyan and accepted backlash from the fake queen's power when she did not punish WWY as ordered.
Lu Wuyi's character development could be seen from how she changed her way with others, interacted with them. Character development did not always need a solo screen time or a special narration. From the teasers, Lu Wuyi would still go towards the extreme part, for being her and for her only love. Her character has been progressing nicely and well written. IMHO
PS. Ju Jingyi slayed the character and left no crumbs 💕
I'll be rude and say this to just get it out of my system.... I found it super distracting finally seeing the real faces of the other 5 girls from the moon sect 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭they should have kept them hidden like before 😭😭😭😭😭😭 what's wrong with me? 😓😓😓😓☺️
So I just got back from shopping and spent some time scrolling through the comments, and I keep seeing people saying that LWY barely has any screen time compared to the other three—that she feels underdeveloped, almost like a side character.
But honestly, there’s really no need to worry. We still have 11 episodes left, and a huge portion of the scenes from JJY and TJR’s trailer haven’t even aired yet—probably more than 80%. Right now, the story is clearly focusing on unfolding WSG’s character, his relationship with WWY, WWY’s personal growth, and JL’s inner struggles.
With 11 episodes to go, it actually feels like the narrative is about to shift toward LWY and JL. LWY, especially, hasn’t been fully revealed yet—there’s still so much to unpack about her. People say WSG, JL, and WWY are mysterious, but have we been watching the same drama? LWY is easily the most enigmatic of them all. There have been so many hints and subtle lines suggesting she’s far more than just the youngest nine-tailed fox—she might even play a crucial role in defeating JY, despite that fate supposedly belonging to WSG.
So really, there’s plenty of time left to address the “lack” of screen time people are worried about. And saying LWY has no character doesn’t sit right either. All four leads have equal billing, which means equal importance. The other three are already being explored in depth—but LWY’s story is still being kept under wraps. It’s too early to jump to conclusions.
To be honest, it was JJY who got me into C-dramas back in 2020 through Blooms in Ruyi Pavilion. But I’m not worried about her screen time at all—I’m sure her moment will come. For now, let’s just enjoy the ride together. It’s been a while since a xianxia/wuxia drama had me this hooked day and night. Peace hehe ✨
P/S: Despite the said "screen time", the drama imo is progressing very well. Ep 18 shows that the plot is finally plotting ✌🏻
Enough arguing about screentime. Duh🙄Infact I'm the one who's against about begging for screentime and that word where used by some fans that their fave used to promote a certain actor. Lol. Like how dare y'all demanding so much and criticize this drama when your fave getting recognize because of GJM.
tjr really is so beautiful as long shen, this particular white outfit with his hairstyle is soooo pretty I'm on my knees 😭 and the young long shen looks so cute and pretty too with the braid. and every time they do the transition into one of the yao powers, man it's too good. this time through his fingers with the fox eye, phew
Ehmm no wonder ... even in my opinion in episode 18, her character still fits her name.. but here she also starts…
Yes ! I don't know if you read everything. But it not about that she have no development. Her development is subtle. At this point, she still doesn't know how or why she was created! Her reality is slowly coming apart.
A character that literally doesn't have a "self". She is doing exactly that she ALWAY reacting.
That why in the trailer she say the line of "Just this once I want to live as myself"
Breaking away from why she was created, a being that doesn't have a self choosing to live for what they want.
