the writer doesn't give a break. it's just ep 1 and i already want to slap some characters. i think the middle parts will be emotional torture, but I hope not.
No matter how many times people complain on not-conclusive-happy-ending in cdramas, the writers jus like "naaah, we're the gods in term of dictating the end, and we don't want for you to be fully satisfied at the end, we hate it if you get a good sleep after watching our dramas"
after spending 49 eps, the ML died. why writers/directors, why? is giving a happy closure something against your belief system? or maybe you just want to guard some trademarks in chinese dramas? or maybe you're just love to torture the viewers at the end, as a kind of satisfaction for you as people who can play god in dictating the story's plots? or maybe you think that a happy ending is too ordinary, so non-conclusive-happy-ending is more suitable for you as smart, sophisticated, cultural people? or your just don't give a damn since at the end you'll still get paid for your work? (it's a ranting)
i think the majority of cdrama writers can't can get a good sleep if the they don't incorporate "noble idiocy" in their stories. it's just like a must ritual for them, maybe. surprisingly, i like this drama.
this drama is a showdown about stupid good people against villains like cockroaches. good enough for treatment of low blood pressure. the writer is from demon clan. i feel grateful for fast forward and skip buttons. i manage to finish it while clinching my fist and wondering if i could punch the writer.
I'm almost halfway through and I still don't understand why they don't just tell the crown prince and princess…
cause they needs the drama to fit 39 eps. otherwise, it won't be the classic problems of cdrama. (yeah, i have a grudge against some aspects of cdrama) -_-
waiting, waiting, and the FL gets the non-main lead. truly regret watching this drama. i'm never a fan of "main lead ends with non-main lead". straight to my "never rewatching cdrama" blacklist. 🎃
i'm always amazed by cdrama writers. they know how to turn the story from south to south-er (if it's even a word), and thinking the viewers will appreciate and applaud it. warning, the level of "self-sacrifice. i don't want to implicate him/her" might drives you to the remote at TV (at least it happened to me).
why, why does it has to be open ending? does a conclusive happy ending make the drama "less sophisticated/less artistic/less poetic/less cultural" in most Chinese writer's mind?
