Tbh, the book and the show aren't the same. A lot has changed and even if they were the same, a lot of script writers and producers have adapted novels with happy endings and turned them into sad endings. So we will all just have to wait and see.

It's so weird because this is the first cdrama where I've seen this type of thing. Normally they know what's going on and agree to the evilness/are evil themselves but this drama tried to make him seem like he's this great loving person which was...hmmm.

LMAO, The Emperor is the dumbest my god. She killed your children, tried to kill one of your wives and you tell your son to let her go and she immediately tries to kill you. He has officially been crowned the dumbest emperor ever. It's insane. And ik y'all hate hearing this, but he wasn't like this in the book.
