I saw a clip that I don't remember being in the novel, can another fellow book reader help me out? JS is seen being tortured by the eldest princess...but I can't tell if it's a flashback or not. Do y'all remember this?

Tbh idk. There wasn't one that I remember in the book but for a lot of adaptations, they add in miscommunication tropes that never happened in the first place. The fl and ml had issues in their 1st life, but in the 2nd one, there wasn't anything significant that I remember.

Her brother being the bad guy is the least surprising thing. I mean...look at his eyes lmao.

They do get married, as for the evil spawn, a lot happens to her.

After her reputation is ruined because she's exposed for being involved with a married man and some other stuff that I'm forgetting, the emperor arranges for her to marry one of his sons. But it's a big insult to him because everyone knows about her affair. On top of that, on the day of their wedding, JS's sister's ex-husband (I'm forgetting his name lmao) shows up and causes a scene. During this scene, the prince that she's supposed to marry basically abandons her and this sham wedding. Fast forward a bit and she ends up being forced to marry the ex-husband. She's upset about this, and with him being resentful about everything, he is happy. He then tries to rape her on their wedding night, (yikes...not a fan of rape as punishment tbh but anyways), and she kills him and escapes. After escaping she gets captured and accidentally killed by the prince she was supposed to marry and he hides her body in a well?? I'm forgetting some details. As for her mother, the Eldest Princess, I forgot how she ended up. I just remember that her ending wasn't that great either.

This is all based on the novel btw. I think there are other versions of this besides the novel as well...not sure though. Saw someone mention it somewhere in the comment thread.

How are this one and the first one related?

Unfortunately it's not a far away kingdom but her ending was...it was something. I feel like they won't include everything though because it's kinda crazy lmao.

I read the book awhile ago, but I don't remember her sibling being this....Idk the right word to use tbh.

She went from trying to force the ml to marry her to having an affair with the fl's sister's husband. Insanity.

Imo this drama doesn't really have a love triangle because when she likes someone, she only likes that person. As for angst, a bit but it's resolved really quickly. She has intimate scenes with the ml only and no one else.

People overreacting about the intimate scenes, people being mad at the crown prince and translations. But yea this deserves a higher rating imo.

The cp likes other ppl's wives in the book. There's more to it than that but that's all I'll say for now.

I wonder if they will keep that one plot about the crown prince and his...weird interest or if they are going to do away with that plot.
