I figured that's what it was but I was so confused about him talking about betraying her in the previews. I thought it had something to do with her family which made me sad cause I hate troops where the ML or the FL finds out that their loved ones family caused their families deaths.

I actually like her with all her love interests. I wish she could marry all of them lmao. I love seeing all of her interactions with them. This is a first for me because normally I have a favorite when there are many potential love interests but they all have qualities that I actually enjoy watching.

Also the scene where he says she's the best woman in the world...I fell like that's the part of the novel where people in the court are trying to humiliate her. Poor girl.

I see your point but I disagree because she took it way too far. They had a signal and everything yet she decided to go all the way. The mother keeps trying to use forceful tactics to teach CSS but with stubborn children those kind of methods aren’t very effective. She should know as an adult that different methods work well on different types of people. She’s also wrong for basically disowning her daughter. She’s really so petty as to send her away and then say she won’t care about her again. What kind of mother does that.

I agree. I feel like I wouldn’t have such an issue with the whole discipline thing if she wasn’t clearly picking favorites.

Yes she has three brothers. When her mother and dad left her behind there were two little boys with them plus the baby boy her twin.

I was thinking the same thing...I'm just glad CSS is actually her child because imagine if she wasn't? I feel like it would be worse.

Please tell me they don't succeed in getting the child back. She needs to take them to court with the results from the doctor. Honestly, this child abuse plot line needs to end now. There is no way a child would be that scared and have a review from a psychiatrist and still be given to the abusive family. He has a loving mother who can afford to take care of him.
