She was never an "irresponsible mom" just because she aborted a fetus. She had no support, nobody to talk to. She feels guilty but she doesn't want to rush to be a mom just to impose on a kid who just lost her own mom. She didn't avoid responsibility, she avoided being hurt everyday by the actions of mizuki. Yayoi arc is that of a strong and independent woman who chose herself over being a replacement. I find it weird how you want all woman just to up and accept their bf's kid and raise them when they don't want to.

I kinda loved jian jian's chaotic energy and her unique personality. The bob and everything that seven tan did made her so likeable as a character. They've made ju won much more subdued, and she doesn't feel like a kid, she feels like an adult. Also the introduction was much better in the og imo. Maybe they'll give more flashbacks from ep 2 so that we can see more of the childhood. But still adaptations should be a bit different so im hoping at least the romance bit is handled better, i didn't like the progression in go ahead.

These "trash" MLs always succeed at life and get no karma from being bad in the dramas. Even when they are called trash they get 0 consequences for all the bad they've done, and thats been the case for so many years in dramas. Yes these women are flawed characters because they are not evil, they have different aspects to their personalities, they are developed characters whose thinking is shown. If you want women to get karma so bad, first wait for the thousands of icky MLs to do so.

Asaichi the sweetest, nicest person ever. I'd love to have seen him and hanako together but even watching i could tell they weren't meant to be. Ikuya is so nosy just stfu.

Okay but why is everyone upset she fell asleep during overtime? They all left work to enjoy themselves leaving her with all the work, then act like she did something out of line. Get ur old asses to work instead. Why should she be ashamed for falling asleep? Also daigo is so entitled, she only got work bcos of hanako, now she acts like she's better than her when she only makes a livelihood bcos of hana. That other writer is sooo annoying too, i wish hanako just leaves that company to tank and go out of business. They don't value her, they do no work and just chide her.

If they used the 50 min runtime well, they could've easily covered up till their confession. They just added unnecessary side char and extended useless scenes.

Ending was way worse than expected, dramatizing which didn't need to be all that while leaving out the important plot in favour of weak side characters. They could've easily ended at the start of their relationship. 50 min episodes which felt like 20 bcos they wasted so much of the runtime on aspects which didn't need to be shown. Also they really fumbled by changing the story of side chars bcos that was such a major plot point for jiang tian. They could still make a great s2 but since the major plot yet to come will all have to be crammed in there, im doubtful.

It will prob end with them being together or the separation, but the class moving and eventual separation are actually far apart in the book so i don't know what they'll end on.

In what world the kid of a single parent wouldn't want to have the other parent with them especially hearing so many good things about the other parent? Mizuki didn't leave a choice to umi, she was just being selfish. That's alright but she did change the life so many people(in bad ways) bcos of her selfishness but i guess that's just being human.

If mizuki chose to have the child and not tell natsu, she should've made sure her kid didn't know about her dad and kept all of her family away from him. If she didn't want to be burden, she shouldn't have told umi all about her dad pretty much forcing him to take care of umi. And even after saying all of this, i still think she is a wonderful but very flawed character.

Their separation comes very very late after a lot of development in their relationship, and their life after that and meeting again doesn't have that much content.You clearly haven't read the novel. The director even said s2 is not sure at all, so i wouldn't hold out for that lol.

It is very slow. You don't adapt a novel with thousand pages and keep the same pacing, you modify it for the series. I don't expect kisses or NC scenes, i expect seeing more of SW and JT and less of other undeveloped characters, i wanna see them interact more and not just with plot devices, their real convos from the novel. After so many eps i don't think they can fit imp scenes in just 3 eps. If there is a season 2, then great, but it will again be a long wait and potentially get cancelled. If they were already doing s2 they might as well develop the characters more instead of filler scenes in this season.

Was this a filler? The plot was slooow as in it never moved. At all. It was 50 mins of nothing damn. They're gonna have to omit so much if they wanna finish it in 3 more eps.

30 mins into today's ep and virtually nothing has happened, plot hasn't moved forward, too much time on the side char whose stories haven't been developed very well... sigh.

yeah the pacing's been very slow but still im optimistic we'll get an ending. Season 2 in most cases don't pan out

I think they can complete it if they reduce a lot of material and show the important scenes. They don't really need to elaborate on the traumas or show their whole relationship(though it would be nice if they did). The last ep can be the time skip.

I dont think it will end like that, at least i hope it won't. I think they'll reduce a lot of their relationship time and other side stuff from the novel and do the time skip in the last ep then to their reunion. Waiting for another season is torturous.

Rather than a choice of happiness, imo natsu made the choice to be a responsible parent, which his father never was. Ofc umi makes him happy but so does so many things in life including yayoi. He made the right choice but it wasn't purely out of happiness.
