They never intended to use the story to depict queer people as a normal part of the world, there is no need for added straight characters to do that, what should've been done is building the world around the existing queer characters and depicting it without taking away time from their story. They added extra couples just to make the drama more digestible to the tv execs. Queer life is not just romance, but its also not an excuse to use other characters and add nonsensical storylines, its about them discovering themselves. The only 2 queer characters this show bothered to add, they didnt even flesh out one of them. Seungwon was a bland character with no story given to him, they didnt even show more of who he was in favor of the tennis and music career of others. Doesnt that seem odd to you? We knew next to nothing about one of the queer main mc's except who he had a crush on. Till the end the gay ml was apologizing to the straight friend(who he used to like) for coming out to him, thats not the "heartwrenching gay ml" you are making him out to be. The story was messy, pacing issues were bad, screentime distribution was even worse not to mention how they handled the characters and adapted them. The creative liberties they took with the source material were terrible. This is a show that should get criticism and i dont get why you are acting otherwise.

Yeah they are still getting posted every 2-3 days. Extras started a few weeks ago.

7 main episodes and others are extras(13 to be exact). The yt channel has all of them with subs

Ah yes i gave the anime a try long ago but didn't like it that much. I find the thai adaptations of jdramas very lacking mostly because keep casting people who don't suit the characters and copy paste the storyline. I love seeing original scripts more, but that has been a rarity in drama world nowadays.

If you read the webtoon you'll know the actual story abt donald, everything is fleshed out and makes sense, their friendship development is way better too.

Is top form an adaptation of already existing jdrama or are u talking about the manga? Because all the others had a jdramas and not just the manga to adapt. I would love to watch the japanese version of top form if it exists.

Trailers many times end up being misleading. Why are you so aggressive about someone checking out the eps and not liking it?

Somebody said before in the comments they will confess at minute 37 and the predictions were pretty spot on lmaoo. I thought the production wouldn't go that far but they managed it.

Nope. Not at all. The story was so rushed, no characters were fleshed out except for grey and remained one dimensional throughout all 8 episodes. They omitted many characters, merged some of them together to make a believable "friend group" which just didn't stick. Also no backstories or motivations were shown, and they changed the whole personality of donald and his ending. Fight scenes were good enough.

If he wanted to express so badly he should've convyed it in a gentle manner, alone. He instead shouted at him in a hallway. This just goes to show how he doesn't respect his friends, has no empathy and thinks he'll get away with everything(and he has in most part). You're talking about honest friendship as if chan hasn't been a terrible friend for the whole drama.

Doesn't feel like they should be friends even now. CY basically forced and humiliated heesu in front of so many people.

He just suddenly pops up when the writer needs to build up some tension, then he goes back to being a jerk.

Absolutely terrible changes. The way they could've chosen to show their relationship for one ep but chose to give it to chan instead AGGGHHHH.

What in the actual fuck? This is worse than i expected. I could've accepted the random useless scenes of chan being a bad friend again and other characters who didn't need to be shown but the last part? Slow burn my ass. They are just dying to give chan more screentime.

Yeah even wolf doesn't show up this early. They could've buit up the story with more eps or seasons, there so much content in the webtoon. And just be ready for the ending. Its disappointing.

Yeah they ruined donald and whatever charm he had. The character here had no aura he was like a copycat of other youth drama villains.

The essence of the og characters is all gone and im so disappointed.
