I'm enjoying it, but I can't help but notice so many similarities with What's Wrong with Secretary Kim and Business Proposal. Even OST sounds similar.
FL is working class with a lower-tiered education, hardworking employee super glad to just have a permanent job, smiles a lot, and has no romantic interest in ML and even dislikes him to start.
ML is handsome CEO, wears 3-piece suits, has middle-part haircut that falls over his forehead, doesn't smile, arrogant, clueless about women, and has childhood trauma that causes some adulthood neurosis. In WWSK, he can't stand zip ties. In BP, he can't handle rain. In this drama, he can't stand a roomful of smiling people.
"Scandal" has become Konglish for any bit of celebrity love life gossip. MDL should stick to actual English and only use "scandal" when something meets the definition of it.
It's kind of nuts that flashback of her running away at 15 and randomly following some stranger at the bus station to rent a room. She could have been kidnapped and sold off.
Why would the intern believe that evil coworker? He once warned XL not to trust her. And I still don't understand what was the intent of releasing the article, revenge for being passed over for a permanent position? He didn't even wait for the results to be announced.
Easy fix for XL so this shit stops happening: only work on your laptop that you take home with you every night.
Realistically, it has to be at least 5 years or more for ML to have been old enough to be a firefighter who saved her when she was 15. If FL ends up being that piano girl, that wouldn’t make sense because they looked like the same age.
Can anyone confirm if the voice actor for William Chan here is the same one from Novoland: Pearl Eclipse? I didn't think so in the first few episodes, but now I think he sounds the same.
