I just started watching this and really want to know what's up with the ML, but I really can't stand the FL's voice and yet another evil stepmother with a complete idiot father.

I've been watching this half-heartedly because I don't really understand what's happening with all the conspiracies. Why does Lai Luo Zhi want the throne? What is his family background? What is up with the Princess of Valor, is she in cahoots with him? Who is her daughter's father? The only plotline I understand clearly is that the Prime Minister and Prince Xian are working together to make him Prince Regent.

It looks like the little boy playing the emperor is busy swiping on an iPad when he's sitting next to the dowager empress on the throne. 😆

I am attempting to watch ep15 with the terrible machine translation subs, but in one scene “fu ren” was translated as Mrs. Fart!!! 😂

I will wait for Viki subs from now on.

I loved the entire series. However, I get tired of palace politics, so I could have called episode 36 the finale and feel like it was still complete.

What happened to Binglan’s dad? Why is he still allowing wife and daughter to act crazy after warning them?

I do appreciate that we got some backstory to explain why Binglan’s mom feels so entitled instead of her just being a typical scheming mother.

They really stepped up the music for the sad and tortured scenes. The sad cello is really killing me.

I'm having a hard time telling all the old men apart. Except for General Shi who has some gray in his beard, they all look the same to me!

This is a cute, passable watch - just good enough to fill the time while waiting for the bigger period dramas to come out. The FL is very pretty, looks similar to Tiffany Tang. The main characters are smart and the supporting characters are not that annoying.

Ji Xing is not suitable to run a business at all. She is so irrational and all emotion. Han Ting kept a big secret from her, but he has not harmed her company in any way. She is hurting him a lot more than he ever hurt her with her stupid, angry words. I've worked at startups, and startups dream of her situation and acquisition. If her dream is to help people, isn't it better to have maximum resources? This is why I don't like workplace cdramas, so unrealistic!

Yes, did I miss something? I know XL said FFB is dead, but isn't that just his choice to be FFB again or not?

All I wanted since I saw the S2 trailer months ago was to see FFB take her away from her wedding, but I wished he didn’t do it by threatening her! Most of season 1 is fuzzy for me except for their relationship. And seriously, by now she should know his true feelings. Who calls in an IOU over a wedding?!

I want something to happen from Haoling king saying she can marry FFB, but all the comments here don’t give me much hope.

I'm so glad she wants to have a child with PWX. I've been thinking Princess needs to get pregnant ASAP so SRQ realizes he has no chance and stops trying to "protect" her.

From the trailer, it looks like her low EQ continues in ep 12.

They crammed so much into the last episode there was no room to breathe! No wonder they had to cut wedding scenes. This drama really needed another 2-3 episodes to properly show the wedding, families, the war, and the reunion after the war.

Ah, maybe that explains why her walking in that scene didn't feel right to me. It was too sassy and modern.
