This show have terrible pacing, on minute 26 of show our lead get drunk - hauling his ass to room is takes more than 2 minutes of show. Then wiping him down, changing clothes ( because that what you do to total stranger you just meet) and then falling asleep on sofa in the room last till minute 42... I watch it on speed 2x and it still feel super slow
I don't want to sound like total BL granny, but making ship sail is part of the job. So i don't even react to this kind of statement - especially in series promotion period. My original comment if you read it - what gmm will decide to continue long-term(the most profitable thing), because i don't trust them to be able to balance it and do both.
That kinda my thought process. Which is why I don't think GMMTV thought about it long-term. Est as the upcoming popular actor can benefit from stable ship. William is a singer and part of a boyband gmmtv invested heavily into - I don't think his schedule will allow long-term ship. When it will come to choosing GMMTV might once again give their 'basement; treatment to one side.
It was a solid first episode, William is acting newbie so I am willing to forgive a lot. Est/Po is still getting over the breakup so his character is not so interesting for now, but he definitely will have a chance to shine in future episodes. For gmmtv production is clearly screams budget while I already liked the director. We are for one solid BL with this one. But.. I am a bit confused about what gmmtv want to gain with this drama. Ship promotion or their boyband promotion... a messaging is a bit mixed and I don't think gmmtv thought it out long-term
Finally, I am up to date... still can't belive its New work due to how watchable it is. But sorry not sorry I am over FB, they act pretty much the same dynamic since A Boss and Babe, their acting improved but I am bored eating the same dish the third time in row with them...
I still have several episodes to catch up on, but while it's a fresh adaptation of Love Sick, the actor playing Noh bothers me. At first, I thought it might be his acting or him not filling the shoes of the previous actor playing Noh that well. But the more I watched the more I noticed the scenes that bother me most are "homage" scenes. Every time this show tries to pay "homage" to the original show Progress stops acting and starts mimicking . Its like Director knew Captain was the main selling point of the previous LS and tried to recapture the magic.
Btw, but this show was supposed to be gmm original and not remake.
