Yup novel MY was worse. At least drama MY showed SJ some attention/consideration but novel MY ignored SJ for 100 years after they got married. During that time SJ was suffering from turbid Qi because she shaved off her own spiritual marrow to replace the Divine Core in the Water Immobilising Seal that MY absorbed. She can never reach the higher Dao because she doesn't have her marrow anymore. The only thing she asked from him was to borrow the relic that would make the river peaceful every 10 years. He was ungrateful and angry at the Clam Clan for forcing him to marry a lowly clam ( as if he didn't used to be a snake himself that only ascended). Despite his coldness, SJ was the only one who looked for him and found him when he went missing. She went into the river with weak water which basically ate away her shell until she was bloody. She took care of him for 7 years in the bamboo hut forest. Unfortunately, TH found him and took him away while SJ was out. Same as drama MY, novel MY was gullible and easily manipulated by TH and her lies. Because he absorbed the Divine Core, with more cultivation he could have become a True God. He got his karma though because he realized his mistakes later and he regretfully made the Bo'Re Dream (which uses up his cultivation) to dream of SJ and never becoming a True God after all.

It's been great! Our clients are South Koreans so I'm getting three days off coz they celebrate Chuseok a.k.a. MAF. I had spa day with facial and the works then ordered Chinese food for our dinner. Yum! ๐ How's yours?
