It is totally understandable to skip it. It is hard to rewatch that part especially the flashbacks with SJ's dad. His line broke me again, "Remember as long as you are sincere, the gods will be moved." 😭😭😭
No they won't because some of them are too detached while some immortals like TH are evil...

He finally leans into that yearning for SJ. He should have done that earlier instead of driving her away.
SJ is so cute! She has this joy and innocence about her. It is so sad to see that go away at the end of the ep. 😭
MY should have really told her personally. As a god, couldn't he have done more than write a measly note that anyone can tamper with?

Yup yup it must have been tough on them. They had to do a lot of wire work while handling weapons. Xixi's halberd was really heavy too along with his costume.

TH uses this opportunity to hunt down SJ at the bamboo forest house. It's a good thing SJ hides quickly from TH. She goes to Shanqing Realm to check with MY, but the guards prevent her from seeing him, saying he is on a retreat.

Even after a few rewatches, the urge to smash TH's smiling face is still strong. 🤬 Along with the "Heavenly soldiers", she goes to the Clam clan and orders their death for "colluding" with ADG. CDL's famous line "Sha~" is here. 😂

The entire clan, SY, and the Clam King were no match for them. The stupid general finally starts questioning TH's order and thinks to run it by MY before proceeding, but it is too late. TH gives the final blow to the Clam King. The peaceful Mohe River Clam Clan's annihilation is done.

SJ gets a foreboding and rushes home. She arrives to see her entire tribe and her father wiped out. She watches the memory bead and sees all the machinations of TH. She blames herself for getting entangled with MY and thinks she is not worthy of being his daughter and their princess. She faints and we see the beginning of her internal deviation... 😭😭😭

Here comes the bringer of death and disaster named TianHuan. Get away from MY! She persuades MY to leave by informing him of the whereabouts of ADG's evil artifacts. Of course, she destroys MY's letter to SJ as soon as he leaves. 🤬

ADG's Bone-refining Seal made a crater and connected itself to the land, spreading an evil aura. We see how the Heart-guarding scale becomes an artifact there. Even with his immense power, the BRS wouldn't budge, so MY has no recourse but to remove his HGS to detach the BRS and to take it for cleansing. He sends Heavenly Rain, and with this combination, Mt. Buzhao becomes verdant and eventually full of spiritual energy. It will become the home base of the XY sect in the future. I love it every time MY recoils from TH's touch.

MY plans to purify the BRS to set SJ to rights, so she can continue her immortal cultivation. The Fire Quadripod can be used to purify demons/objects, but it shortens the user's life. He thinks it is worth it and goes into a four-day retreat to do just that.

We get more light scenes in the humble but homey bamboo forest house.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - one of the best scenes ever in this drama is when MY regains his eyesight. If the word "micro-expressions" needs to be defined, show this scene because Xixi as MY shows a gamut of emotions like shock, relief, and amazement in just a few seconds after realizing SJ was the one taking care of him. Outstanding acting!👏👏👏

SJ is really the cutest! Her setting up a divider but eventually snuggling to MY in her sleep and getting a swollen cheek coz of the bee sting were adorable. It is no wonder MY keeps smiling.

The fight scenes were truly epic! If I remember correctly, they said it took a month of filming to finish these battles. A big round of applause to the actors, stunt doubles, and the whole crew!

I did the cues for the 1st rewatch in 2023 (1 month after the official airing ended), Charley led the 2024 1st anniversary cues, and now we are having a combo cuing by those available for the 2025 2nd anniversary rewatch. 🥰 It's pretty fun coz we can catch some details we missed before or remember the really epic scenes.

Haha ADG is so smug - understandably so since he's so powerful. He just underestimated the will to protect of the other gods. I like how he threw a tantrum by striking the Heavenly Pillar. He's like, "If I'm going down, let's all go down together!" 🤣🤣

We have the Clam siblings on scene. Sang You is helping SJ with her cultivation. Just noticed SY also has very pretty hair ornaments like SJ. 🐚✨️ A soldier arrives with urgent news. Again, who decided to put that makeup on the Clam soldier?! 💀😂 SY hides the news from SJ but she learns it about the war and of MY going MIA.

Chuhuang's gift allows SJ to locate MY but he fell into the Ruo River with water that is corrosive to SJ. Since evil TH made her bathe in it before, being submered in Ruo water while saving MY strips away her last shell form. Our brave clam princess! 😭

SJ put baby dragon MY in a clam shell in a pot, which almost made MY into a tonic/stew by SY! LOL!
I wish we had more SY and SJ scenes. They are sweet siblings and gorgeous to look at, too! 😁

MY transforms back but same gripe as before. Why is he wearing clothes? 😈😂 SJ cleans him up and helps him change into fresh clothes. *wink wink* She looks at him adoringly as he sleeps but tells herself to snap out of it since MY doesn't have any feelings for her (according to him).

MY is temporarily blinded so SJ decides to care of him. She disguises her voice, and says she'll let MY stay if he helps out around her place. She tends to his superficial flesh wounds and his eyes.

Next we have the outdoor scenes of them sorting herbs, eating, and taking a sunlit stroll. It is so light, peaceful, and beautiful. 🌞🌼
