LSS/YXW struggles with letting TTJ continue kneeling on the frozen lake. She questions whether she is doing it right. He eventually faints so she brings him inside. They look so cute like a baozao cuddled in the blanket.
Cue the bath scene! LSS really should have been more thorough in checking for his evil bone. π€£ She learns of OG YXW's perverse penchant of whipping TTJ so she whips him but eventually stops knowing it is wrong. TTJ develops a fever so she tends to him.
Haha TTJ wonders if she is possessed by an evil spirit since she's changed so much.
The Ye fam gets introduced with her doting father and grandma, the concubines, and her silly older brother. LSS experiences what a "family" is like - just like what she read in books. However, the family did spoil YXW rotten so she acted so badly. She learns that TTJ eats in the kitchen and is mistreated by the servants since they take their cue from the OG YXW.
I love TTJ change of expression from being meek to malicious when he sends the fly to choke the servant. LYX, the actor that you are! π Flashbacks of evil YXW are fascinating to watch, too. Bailu, the actress that you are. ππ They are really well matched!
It's so funny when he and the crows talk smack of OG YXW. As he was looking out of the window, I especially noticed that Xixi has this graceful bearing so even the 3/4 back shots of him look so beautiful. Having a background in ballet really serves him well as an actor. π

One of my gripes with this adaptation is how they diminished LSS' role especially in the end part considering she is "The Chosen One" according to the prophecy. I mean I love TTJ but LSS really played her part in saving the realms - she didn't get knocked out so much in the novel. LOL!
Anyways, in the drama, she gets to see how DG was as the mortal hostage prince Tantai Jin.
Gongye arrives and grapples with DG while LSS was sent back to the Hengyang Sect. Such an iconic set! Goodbye and thank you for gracing so many cdramas.

Yup. The definitive one is ep.34 as CJM and LSS. In the Jin arc, they did get together as TTJ and YXW since they had those lovey-dovey scenes. LOL! It was even more explicit in the novel coz they were getting it on right from the start during the Ye Mansion phase. π€£ Technically, it is not "them" in the Bo're arc coz they were in a dream simulation - just like living the life of MingYe and Sang Jiu virtually. That's why it's hard to explain this stuff to new viewers coz it would be a major spoiler and TTEOM is unlike other xianxias. Haha!π π

I can't remember the exact eps but TTJΓYXW in the Jin arc around mid-20s and CJMΓLSS in the immortal arc around mid30s. For those who know, please chime in. Haha! 2. Not really. I mean there is a pesky female side character (in various arcs) but I don't think she counts...π 3. Yes. 4. There is romance but ultimately it's about how the characters evolve in the course of the story. 5. Yes! Xixi and Lulu know how to kiss well. Watch them in Love is Sweet for really steamy ones since they are more restrained here. Still good though! π€£ 6. No. It's an OE. 7. Give the first few eps a try and see if it works for you. Personally, I think the 1st episode is one of the best pilot eps ever.
