As I understood it from the novel, MY tried to resurrect SJ (the broken clam shell) but that was impossible so he sealed himself in his dragon form at the bottom of the murky Mo River (where the clam kingdom used to be) rewatching his memories for 10,000 years. This time though because the "gang" entered his dream, he was forced to choose between being good or evil. TTJ was urging him to devilize and he almost did, but YXW had the pearl which showed the beautiful innocent memories of why Sang Jiu fell in love with Mingye - the great hero who protected the world. Mingye decided to honor her love by not devilizing. Instead, he offered his body to calm and purify the Mo River and he passed on. 🥲
TTJ was enraged that he missed getting this immortal dragon because of YXW intervention. 😅

In the novel, he was brutally killed by TTJ but I guess the director/writers didn't want to introduce another character - TTJ's younger brother - who is also vying for the throne so they kept TTMinglang in the drama.

Whenever I see the name Sifeng, my ears instantly replay Xuanji's voice saying Sifeng for the nth time. 🤣🤣🤣

Remember he absorbed the World Alluring Jade in ep.9 when he was fighting with TTM's sorceress? That supposedly "cured" his eye but in exchange he will be cursed to die an early and bad death. FL realized it when she woke up so she exchanged her eye for the WAJade so she can take on the curse. TTJ cannot die yet because she has not figured out how to get rid of his Evil Bone.

No he doesn't because he was knocked out at the time. He will realize her sacrifice later on.

That's correct! Dragon is in a dream loop and reliving his life because he regrets what happened in the past. The 4 leads were sucked into that dream and assigned their "roles". The emotions they feel in this dream will affect the leads actions later on in their real world once the dream is done.

It seems like the drama is going that route. FL is going to use the 9 nails to destroy ML's Evil Bone on their wedding night.
Their wedding didn't happen in the novel because all hell broke loose before that day.

For now, the drama is around Ch.36. The next arc is the clam princess one then the final arc for the mortal phase which ends in Ch.75.
