Title The Wolf Spoiler
Finished episode 26 yesterday and yeesh was that hairy. I hope the Princess starts acting a bit tougher now that…
Certainly, the emperor doesn't want to give up his throne.

So the trip to Khithan to borrow troops failed by Bo Wang, the emperor ordered Yao Ji to whipped him as punishment.

At the same time, it was an opportunity Yao Ji can take the chance to poison the emperor. Cuz eldest prince was dead, 2nd prince was send to guard the tomb as a slave and as punishment, 3rd prince Bo Wang was just got whipped and injured. 4th prince had became brain dead and paralyzed. So no one is smart or sensitive enough to detect Yao Ji's plan to poison the emperor.

That's how the emperor slowly been poisoned till he got blinded.

Then Bo Wang was given a chance to replaced his failure, he was send out with his troops to battle with Jing's troops.

But Bo Wang's foolish plan was, seeking suicide at the battlefield letting the Jing's troops to shoot thousands of arrows to kill him.

Eventually Zhai Xing noticed something not quite right about him, so she dashed out with the Jing's troops to fight against with Bo troops (Bo Wang's troops). At the end of the fights, Bo troops loosed, Jing won.

Again, returning to Yang empire, Bo Wang was sentenced to slave cuz again he failed his mission again.

Then Chu Kui realized he had no more prince to used. So the eunuch Zhang Jing (eunuch for Chu Kui) suggest perhaps should release 2nd prince and let him return to serve him on official duties.

But Chu Kui never expected that, 2nd prince will take this opportunity to revenge him as in murder him and gets the throne, as Chu Kui was already blind. At the same time, can held 4th prince as hostage.

Maybe you're right, but I respect your point of view.

For myself, I don't feel and see Bo Wang really 100% love Zhai Xing as much as Ji Chong does. Just like you mentioned, perhaps is Bo Wang's complexity of characters.

Oh, 4th prince, he was a little upset about what happened to his Zhai Xing "sister" ( the way he addressed her) and his 3rd brother Bo Wang when he finds out.

But he isn't a fool, he was more on suspecting his so called "beloved" emperor father's scams and motives.

That's where (soon) at episode 30, he followed Bo Wang to Khithan's territory, to negotiate and borrow troops from king of Khithan. But the negotiation wasn't easy, cuz princess Bao Na knew everything had happened to Zhai Xing and how Bo Wang treated her. As her best friend, Bao Na was very much against his brother king of Khithan on agreeing to borrow troops to support Yang empire (Chu Kui) to fight against Jing empire where Zhai Xing and Ji Chong is at.

Even at Khithan, Bo Wang still insulted Zhai Xing and trying to framed her.

It makes the king of Khithan damp headache, borrow or not to borrow his troops.

Zhai Xing and Ji Chong also went to Khithan's territory to stopped or rather spoil Bo Wang's plan to borrow troops.

Until at one point, Bo Wang insulted Zhai Xing so badly, and challenged her dare not kill him or had no guts to kill him.

So, out of anger, Zhai Xing picked up a bowl and arrow, supposed to shoot at Bo Wang as he walks away after he insulted Zhai Xing.

Then out of sudden, 4th prince just rush out and the arrow shot at 4th prince. He was injured and went into a short coma.

This part really gets Bo Wang and Chu Kui angered.

At the end of the trip to Khithan, Bo Wang's mission to borrow troops from Khithan failed with 4th prince got injured.

Later, 4th prince took the opportunity as he just woke up from a short coma, pretending from his injury, he had turned to became a "brain dead" and paralyzed person.

In actual, he was just pretending cuz he needs to finds out the true motives of his father (Chu Kui)'s motives.

He did found out later, and threatened his father to stop all the evil plans. But one thing he under estimated was, he didn't prepared enough of loyal guards to protect him, but just depending on a few eunuchs.
So, at the end he was easily been taken down by his evil father and send to be grounded at his home.

Yeah, exactly. This part I too was confused. I was watching the whole drama by DVD. I kept replayed it backwards…
Maybe. But never mind, I'll rewatch it all over again 2nd time to get the missed out details clear. Coz when first time watching, I was "chasing" episodes over episodes too fast to know the whole story. That's how I finished all 49 episodes in 3 days. But fortunately, I'm watching this drama by DVD. I can rewatch all over again.

FL = Zhai Xing, you mentioned how she died at the end. This part is clear. At the last episode 49, she went to…
I suspect it happend way back earlier.

Somewhere around episode 20 - 24, that part where the evil emperor Chu Kui released Yao Ji out from the prison bird cage, and ordered her to cure Zhai Xing's legs from previous old injuries.

Yao Ji told Zhai Xing to soak her both legs in a tub of herbal medicine, and suddenly Zhai Xing felt something is moving around her legs, then next she saw it and screamed. But it didn't showed what the hell was in the tub of the herbal medicine.

Becuz of this, it could be Yao Ji was slowly poisoning or poisoned Zhai Xing with slow type of poison thru healing her legs.

The reveal of Zhai Xing's truth identity as a royal princess of Tang dynasty is at episode 30 or 31.

Oh the emperor Chu Kui comes to know that Zhai Xing is the princess of Tang dynasty and Bo Wang's mission to Khithan to borrow troops fails, he was "jumping" in so angry. LOL !!

After rewatch and re evaluate, I'm not quite impressed that Bo Wang really loved her.

At certain parts, I can see that Bo Wang was selfish and he did put himself first than Zhai Xing, cuz he need his title to defeat 2nd prince You Gui and Yao Ji.

And also he cares for his assistants (the 3 Night Fury) more than Zhai Xing.

If comparing Bo Wang and Ji Chong's affections / love for Zhai Xing, I can see is Ji Chong that is more sincere and devoted to Zhai Xing. At least Ji Chong didn't hurt her, humiliated her, betrayed her or user her. And is Ji Chong all the while been giving Zhai Xing all the supports, protects and helping her walked out of her bitterness.

Where the hell was Bo Wang ? Back at his Yang empire busied explaining his failures to his evil adopted emperor father Chu Kui, busied defeating with Yao Ji and 2nd prince You Gui, busied protecting his assistants, busied planning for the next battle with Jing empire ...etc.

Indeed, by nature Bo Wang is not an evil person, but just a stupid fool and too blinded to differentiate what is right or correct to do and what shouldn't do. I think not just a misguided that simple, more like a retard that can't think properly and decides properly.

Finished episode 26 yesterday and yeesh was that hairy. I hope the Princess starts acting a bit tougher now that…
I went to re-watch again from episode 21 - 30. Previously was "chasing" every episodes too fast. Some details might had missed out.

I felt from episode 25 - 27, it's so hurting.

The way Bo Wang humiliates and betrayed Zhai Xing's true feelings for him, and the evil emperor Chu Kui is way too much of evilness / wickedness of sending the Ma's troops to be sacrificed.

And thankfully Ji Chong he is smart enough to detect the evil plans of Chu Kui and the wicked orders by Chu Kui to Bo Wang on humiliating Zhai Xing, and managed to rescued her and the whole Ma's troops just on time.

When Bo Wang treated Zhai Xing so cold blooded after the truth was revealed that he and his assistants (the Night Fury) they were the one that murdered her family, this part, after rewatch again, personally as a women myself, it felt so damp hurtfull, especially the way he treated her and his words are so damp blunt.

No wonder later he ended up so regretted.

Zhai Xing is not just an ordinary girl or just a small title "lady" that he thinks he can just humiliates.

In actual truth and thankfully to Ji Chong's intelligence, he revealed out Zhai Xing's real identity, she is indeed a pure royalty from the previous Tang dynasty, a real princess with pure Tang bloodline.

This, even the king of Khithan and emperor of Jing also had to pay their respect to Zhai Xing as her identity -"Her Majesty".

Cuz when king of Khithan was young, he was send to the previous Tang dynasty as a hostage, then at once, he was sicked / ill, Zhai Xing's mother took care of him. And this, he was been favored.

As for emperor of Jing, the previous Tang dynasty had extended help when their empire was in the most needed time of difficulties.

That's why Zhai Xing's true identity as "Her Majesty" and was highly respected by both king of Khithan and emperor of Jing.

I'm not too sure have you reach this part, if you're there, oh, you should pay attention to Bo Wang's reactions.

Finally he realized how damp wrong of himself that he had treated Zhai Xing on previously.

And he was so damp stunt that, Zhai Xing is not general Ma Ying's biological daughter, and not just a small titled "Lady Ma", but is a Princess of the previous Tang dynasty, together with her are the Ma's troops by her adopted father general Ma Ying.

You can see from his expression is like "oh shit" ...

I considered this part is the sweetest revenge of Zhai Xing back to Bo Wang and the evil emperor Chu Kui.

The other revenge at the battlefield or Bo Wang was send for punishment to the slavery field are not the best revenge.

The discovery of her truth identity as a royal princess of Tang is the best and greatest revenge.

Abit confused by ending. How FL get poison and dyin?It was edited out.
FL = Zhai Xing, you mentioned how she died at the end. This part is clear. At the last episode 49, she went to rescue 4th prince You Zheng, he was captured by 2nd prince You Gui as hostage.

And in between the fights, 2nd prince You Gui shot the sword and hit through Zhai Xing's body. She got herself killed, but fortunately just minutes before her death, Bo Wang rushed to the scene and they had a few final moments to speak out the last words before she passed away in the arms of Bo Wang.

Yeah, exactly. This part I too was confused. I was watching the whole drama by DVD. I kept replayed it backwards to understands what exactly had happened to Zhai Xing and how she too got poisoned ? Yao Ji was with her. But I didn't see Yao Ji poisoned her or gave her any poison to consume as well. Even thou Zhai Xing was sad to learned that Bo Wang (the wolf) had been poisoned, and only left 6 months to live ... That was becoz 2nd prince You Gui ambushed both Zhai Xing and Bo Wang in the jungle, Bo Wang got injured by one if the arrow shot, I think he contracted the poison from the arrow. But Zhai Xing ... How she got it ... Really puzzled. Maybe I will re-watch again at that episode to clear the puzzles ...

why? can you explain a bit more? :)
Hi, calm down ...
Is just different people with different opinions. Not everyone thinks the same, cuz we all are different people. Don't be upset by a certain comments.

Before this, I get it the same too from others when I expressed too much.

Just make things simple, we all are here to watch a drama and share some opinions. If should someone's opinions is not what your cup of tea, then just ignore it.

No one can force you on what you think of. Just a simple conclusion, if you agrees with the comments, then you may express what you think about. If you dislike the comments, just ignore it. Is that simple, ok ? Be calm ...

There's no win or loose here, no rights or wrongs as well. Don't need to be upset and drills deeper.

If I've said anything wrong here, pardon me. It's just something I also did experienced through.

Relax and chill ok pal ?

Yeah, from a childish yet savage little princess, she did grew up to be a more mature and wise young lady.

Thou it's a tragic ending, but I think Zhai Xing and Bo Wang (the wolf)'s sacrifice brought peace for everyone.

Not only Ji Chong coupled up with Bao Na (princess of Khithan), also there are others that finally can live a peaceful life, Mo Xiao and Hai Tie (both was Bo Wang's assistant / Night Fury, except Wen Yan was killed), they too coupled up and adopted lots of orphans, Yao Ji and her assistant, they open a clinic to help saving the sick and save people who got poisoned, 4th prince You Zheng can finally rule Yang empire in peace and harmony with Jing emperor.

At least it looks like all the "dark evil force" had ended, and finally the 2 empires can be in peace without war. Other civilians can live a better life.

Right now Amazon had some great discount. For older dramas (around 2017, 18 & 19's films).

And just a suggestion, it's also a great idea to select a drama / a set of DVD as Christmas or New Year's gift for someone.

Oh you just started ?

You really wants to know the ending ?
Are you prepared ?

I hope you just watch it, it's quite a good storyline. Contains all sorts of emotions as you watch thru. Certain parts there's lots of love, then certain parts it just makes audience feel angry, then sad, then feel sour, bitter to see they split up and gets the harsh punishments, then feel love again as they patch back together.

But at the very final end part at episode 49, indeed is a sad, bitter, sour and regretful ending.
