Indeed, after waited so many years late, finally the second part (supposed was Princess Agent 2) now then shows. At first I'd high hopes for the storyline to be good like the previous princess agent's, but after watch till episode 5 or 6 somewhere, I almost gave up. Coz the storyline was really confusing and kinda messed up with so many unnecessary clans of the Northern territory with so many extra casts. I can read, write, understand and speak Mandarin, so watching all the C dramas for me wasn't an issue. But this, I hardly understood who is who and from which clans with what connections with what purposes ... And other lousy parts are, the costumes, lighting, and places set in the drama. They all looked so in poverty. Summarized up, it was a real lousy production, but not the casts, the casts are actually well seasoned actors.

I don't think it's Malaysia. I'd been there visiting too. The country is a multi races cultures. It's main races are the Malay people who are Muslim, the Chinese people mostly are Buddhism or Taoism and some maybe Catholics or Christians. Then are the Indians, some of them are Hinduism and mostly are Catholics or Christians.So during my visit, I clearly remembered I didn't saw any creepy deities they worshiped. Indeed it's a quite advanced country, similar with Singapore. Except Singapore is a small island concrete country, Malaysia is a more larger countries with more than 12 states (I think) also with several tropical islands with resorts for tourists to visit and stayed.

Achieve The Nan Yang Mystery is not really related to this Mystic Nine (2026), only some parts are related with Zhang Qi Shan (Fo Ye) with the two guys Zhang Hai Lou and Zhang Hai Xia.
Remember ? Both these two guys since young they were orphans, and adopted by their master Zhang Hai Qi. Later they was trained up to be detectives solving mysteries at Nan Yang. It was only after they swore and been tattooed, they then became a part of the Zhang's family clan's member.
And Zhang Hai Qi is another clan from the Zhang's family. They are different by their middle names, just like Fo Ye, his name was Zhang 'QI' Shan, his assistant was Zhang 'RE' Shan, so as Zhang 'HAI' Qi and her disciples Zhang 'HAI' Lou, Zhang 'HAI' Xia. The Zhang family had several clans, it's like direct bloodline and side bloodline members. And by their member's middle names, that's how they knew who belongs to which side clans of the Zhang family members.
Just like Zhang Qi Shan (Fo Ye) 's assistant Zhang Re Shan, he was different clan with Fo Ye. That's why Fo Ye passed before him. Zhang Re Shan continued lived on for more than hundred years old. This you can get to knows through watching Tomb Of The Sea (2018).
And there's another one, Zhang Qi Ling (this character appeared in the sequels of The Lost Tomb). He is also from another side clan of the Zhang family. Comparing him to Zhang Re Shan (Fo Ye)'s assistant, this Zhang Re Shan was more long lived, his age was been guessed around two hundred years old and was buddies to Wu Xie (Wu Lao Gou / 5th master)'s grandson and Fatty in The Lost Tomb.
So as this Zhang Hai Qi, she was the same like Zhang Re Shan and Zhang Qi Ling. Only this was somewhat a little related to Mystic Nine. Other than the cast's characters, this Archives The Nan Yang Mystery's storyline has nothing related to The Mystic Nine (2016) and Mystic Nine (2026).

No, the drama's storyline isn't about WuXia, neither paranormal genre. It's about two orphan boys adopted by the Zhang's clan and trained up to be detectives solving mysteries at NanYang provide / state or country (I'm not sure where the heck is this NanYang). But it kinda looked like South East Asia one of the country. Looked like could be Indonesia or Myanmar. Especially during the first mysterious case about the evil deity that looked like half evil body half snake. Honestly, I think I did saw quite a similar deity like it at Bali on one of my holidays trip. The Balinese every morning once they opened their shop for business, they'll put this deity on the floor in front of their shop's entrance then prayed and placed flowers over it. I did noticed it at many shops there, it kind of gave me an uneasy feeling, but I did kept my mouth shut of not commenting any words about it.

And after you completed this Mystic Nine sometime later, you can continue watch the other sequels. Yeah ... some of Wu Xie's charaxters can hilarious. But the most hilarious one is Wu Xie's best buddy the Fatty.
I can't remember exactly in which sequels or episodes, that Fatty was making fun on one the of Tibetian prayer, it supposed to be "Omm Ma Ne Pat Ma Ne Omm", but that Fatty said instead "All Money To My Home" . That part it made me burst out laughing so hard ...

Not really, but there's a little bit of connection. The part that many audiences are confused was, is the Zhang family clans. With the same surname Zhang, this family has several side clans. Example chatacters like Fo Ye / Zhang Qi Shan (in 2016 The Mystic Nine) his assistant commander was Zhang Re Shang. This fellow was from another side clan of Zhang family. He was long lived than Zhang Qi Shan / Fo Ye. After Fo Ye had passed, he still live on for more than hundred years old.
Another character was Zhang Qi Ling, he was also from the side clan of Zhang family, was long lived, longer than Zhang Re Shan, had lived more than hundred - 2 hundred years old.
So in the Achives of The NanYang Mystery drama, the character of Zhang Hai Qi was the same like Zhang Re Shan, a side clan from the Zhang family.
That's why she had lived long enough and Zhang family's side clans are scattered around.
As for Zhang Hai Lou and Zhang Hai Xia, both these two guys they was orphans and been adopted by Zhang Hai Qi, later was trained up to be member of NanYang archives detectives. Once they swore as members of Zhang family's clan, they are bound for it in their entire life. So as the other members of the archive, they too are belonged to Zhang family's side clan, but too bad they was been murdered.
That's why I think (according to my understanding about this mysterious Zhang family's clans), Zhang Hai Qi (the both guy's master) was the same like Zhang Re Shan and Zhang Qi Ling. And Zhang Qi Ling this character is in The Lost Tomb and Candle In The Tomb sequels.
And that's why I think there's a little bit of connection. Coz when Zhang Hai Qi when to visit Zhang Qi Shan / Fo Ye to discuss some plans to kill the dictator Mo Yun Gao, Fo Ye was also into this plan for killing Mo and sort of cooperated with Zhang Hai Qi, also borrowed some troops for Zhang Hai Xia. Too bad Zhang Hai Xia was been poisoned and he looses control of himself to killed all Fo Ye's borrowed troops. If you understood the storyline, it's obvious this Zhang family clans are the main connection.

You may, but many unnecessary parts you had already knew, you can fast forward, only to get the important or missed out and confused parts to understands what and how and why was it. That's how when I get confused of certain drama's part, I'll usually goes back to the episode's certain parts I didn't quite gets it to watch it again clearly for understood it.

That was because Huo Xian Gu (7th master) was the only women master in this nine family clans. Thou when she and Wu Lao Gou (Wu grandpa / 5th master) was young back then, they were affectionate by each other. But Huo Xian Gu (Huo grandma) was a women with hot temper and assertive character. Later on she and Wu grandpa had many frictions and wasn't suitable for each other, yet, Huo family's rule was, only females will be the next successor, not the husband or males in the Huo clan. That's why Wu grandpa wasn't a suitable mate for her, later on, she was arrange married to a high ranked government officer. Her husband's name was unknown.
And for Wu grandpa,
Jie Jiu / Jie grandpa (9th master) introduced one of his distance female relative to married him, and so later on has Wu Xie as his grandson. Wu Xie this character appeared on The Lost Tomb sequels.

The unit 401 troops are not zombies, they are not dead and alive. Their minds had been controlled by the Japanese experimental about time backwarding and fate changing experiments. The tomb was an ancient Other World Tower that belonged to an Other World patriarch. Watch further to understands how Fo Ye / Zhang Qi Shan solves the mysteries of this time backwarding spell and finds out who was the patriarch together with Wu Lao Gou (5th master), Qi Tie Zui (8th master), Huo Xian Gu (7th master), Chen Pe (4th master) and Jie Jiu (9th master).
And yes, Jeremy Xu played as Jie Jiu (9th master) in this Mystic Nine.
Except Er Yue Hong (2nd master), Li Jie (3rd master) and Hei Bei (6th master) are not in this.

Finally !! Long been waited and now showing. Interesting, waste no time since episode 1. Currently I'm at episode 6. Thou some casts had changed for Wu Lao Gou (5th master), Huo Xian Gu (7th master) and Jie Jiu (9th master), but they played well with their roles, and Fo Ye / Zhang Qi Shan (1st master) looked aged a lot.
After I'd finished watching all the Dao Mu Bi Zi / The Lost Tomb and Candle In The Tomb's sequels, I thought it's boring with no more further, now finally this Mystic Nine showing. Hope this sort of tomb raiding or adventure dramas don't stop producing. I think a lot of us audiences are very much interested into this sort / genre dramas. It's much thrilling and interesting than those palace politics, war, romance and vengence dramas. The worst genre are those diety flying around with super powers fighting in the sky and anime type of dramas. Yucks, sorry to say, not my type of preference.
