No it's not remake. It is loose continuation of season 1 based on the novela named Wu Xie's notes.

That is the main series. Then there are prequels: The Mystic Nine 1, The Mystic Nine 2 and also sequels: Reunion: The Sound of the Providence 1 and Reunion: The Sound of the Providence 2.
Archives: The Nanyang Mystery is a separate spin-off.

Well it depends what you want from it. I liked the first three ep but they are just very different from the rest so you should wait after that to judge it.

I think there will be season 2. The author talked even about potential of season 2 and 3.

They make fun of scary parts so no it's not.

It's great. Wait until at least ep3 to know if you want to continue. The first two are very different from the rest of the show.

There are only two types of music playing when Zhang Hai Xia shows up - sad or ominous. 😭

Thank you for clarification! I solved it by watching only the bronze tree arc from Lost Tomb 2 which is ep 8 to 35 for anyone else interested. But your way sounds good too.

Well Time raiders covers only the first 8ep from Lost Tomb 2 so it's actualy not that much. But I didn't watch The Lost Tomb 2: Explore with the Note so maybe that one is better.
