To me ml is single handedly running the show. Fl doesn’t have a strong screen presence. Doesn’t have the aura…

I would like to politely disagree. I'm amused at how the FL is also such an actress. Like the character of Xie Qingyuan, girl, is such a actress, while being the person commanding the pieces on the chessboard. Everytime she's in the front of the Xie family, her tears and devotion move me. (pun-intended!) You get to see her real, calculating personna often when she is either alone or with the ML, who keeps pestering her.

It isn't different. But then, it is intriguing. There are few layers to it which have been hinted at in the drama trailer.

I think Yan Rui, or Shen Run in other words has recognised her, because the amount of chasing he is doing doesn't feel like it is purely for the corruption case. And those moments when subtle emotions that appear in his eyes, looks like he cares for her or has started caring for her. But I can be wrong.
