We have a new problem i.e. the tussle between MR and WR regarding the change of his name.

Common! I want an extension of at least... at least 5 episodes so that this story can WRAP UP NICELY.
Writer....please do the right thing and appreciate the time that each of your viewers have invested in watching your drama. ☺️😐

From WR's perspective, it is understandable that he wants to be known as Woo Ri because he has been using this name for 30 years.

From MR's perspective, she is still fuming in anger that Jung Soon Jung kidnapped her precious son. And Woo Ri is the name of the deceased son of the kidnapper.

The problem here is the impending marriage of WR & SJ. As parents of the bridegroom, MR is right that her son's name should be Han Hyun Woo not even Han Woo Ri, during the wedding ceremony.

So there is no time for WR to accept his change of name SLOWLY.

MR may have to slowly accept her son as Woo Ri at this moment...at this moment, otherwise if a conflict starts, things may turn bitter and ugly.

But I do feel that WR will eventually understand his mother's feelings and before the end of this drama, he will accept Hyun Woo as his name.

But this drama is not toxic to me...because I like the lead couple especially Ham Eunjung and the chemistry between them is great.

Totally agreed. Eg. The Apple of my Eyes and Live Your Own Life and Red Shoes. Dropped them after 1 or 2 episodes. 😄

I've always hated hurried endings. I'm fine even there were 10 to 20 extra episodes.

You are absolutely right! Because of his own urges, he did as he pleased.

But Beetslover, SY was also responsible as she took pity & allowed YJ to live with them. Remember even her mother-in-law felt it was a bad idea to let YJ live with them so long.
Both SJ's parents made terrible judgement which resulted poor SJ's childhood trauma.

I admit that if JS had more respect for SY, YJ thief would not be able to do anything.

The irony of how sweetly JS treated NY is NY was never shown to be respectful to him and oftentimes glared at him as if she wanted to slap him.

JS is a useless and ungrateful father as he has completely forgotten how SJ has paid his debts and paid for the initial deposit for the apartment which they are renting now.
SJ also arranged a meeting for WR to greet him formally too.

I was thinking why were we not told if MR was married or an unwed mother-to-be.

But adding poison to the mind of one's daughter about her husband when he did not even have any proof JT lost HW was very wrong.

If it was a question of the reputation of Haedeul
Hospital, then don't add poison to their marriage when there was no proof.
JT was approved by MR's dad too.

This old man was just making his daughter miserable in the long term.

Remember when NY just become SJ's half sister, she was following SJ wherever she went until SJ scolded her.

YJ...YJ's fault for her wrong upbringing of NY.

Yes, JT's face did become serious when WR said MR told him about his biological dad.

But to me, that was a natural reaction because WR was broaching the subject of his biological dad and he was worried how WR was going to respond.

In flashbacks... I remembered JT was a loving dad to both boys as they played in the garden and when HW was sick, he brought him to the
hospital.

Imo, it is MR's dad who destroyed their marriage by telling her that JT lost HW because he was not his biological son and never trust him.

Why didn't MR's dad simply order her to divorce JT? Why did he give such toxic advice to his daughter and expect them to live as husband and wife?

These are some of Writer's loopholes of this drama.

I love watching family kdramas. I have noticed that villains will always be necessary tools in family dramas being it long or short dramas. They are needed to inject life, suspense and conflicts so that the Writer could continue
with story.

But I did drop dramas with excessive negativity and poor chemistry between the leads.

"NY is so delusional that she uses SJ as a punching bag, because SJ won't fight back like she needs to."

After SY did not turn up as she has promised due to her unfortunate accident, YJ emotionally abused SJ with "You have been abandoned by your mum!" repeatedly over the years.

Such repeated, emotional abuse damaged her self-esteem and general mental well-being. SJ felt that she was an outsider and even begged YJ (her abuser) to adopt her into their family.

SJ must have felt that in order that JS & YJ would not abandon her like her biological mum did, she must study well and...be kind and giving to her step sister and half brother.

That's how SJ turned out to be NY's and YJ's punching bag. It is so sad....but even as SJ has found SY, old habits die hard.

Totally agree that what NY is today is all on YJ's wrong upbringing. YJ did put down her own daughter frequently and compared SJ with NY.

MR's father knew JT was in love with MR because :
• He could have seen JT stealing glances at MR.
• JT's facial expression said it all.

I don't think MR & JT had a prior relationship before HW's dad. That would complicate matters. That is my personal thoughts.

Although MR is the Chairman, probably she could not function most of the time due to her depression. So she was likely Chairman in name only. But JT was actually the running the hospital.

As he was Hospital Director and not Chairman, he could not possibly stop the spying on him. He did not want to antagonise MR too.

But one day, he did scold the spying manager to stop it.

It seems to me that NY is targeting SJ but not WR. But WR will be the Heir so why is NY not attacking WR or maybe after she harmed SJ first.

NY is now very bitter towards SJ because SJ will be the wife of the Heir of Haedeul Hospital. This is the position NY has been coveting
since her entrapment
of HS.

But she lost it to SJ again. NY's insanity is now at a new level. 😵‍💫

I tried putting myself in MR's shoes when she lost her 1st husband and then HW... that's when I suddenly became so emotional and cried. I think this actress who plays MR is also very experienced and expressed her grief very well.

To date, honestly, I am still uncertain if JT married MR for wealth and status.

But I remembered JT said that he was the one running Haedeul Hospital for the past 3 decades and the Hospital had been profitable. So, at that time, I thought that MR was not efficient at all and relied a lot on JT.

I don't like how MR's dad badmouthed JT to MR because he was in effect destroying his daughter's marriage. He might as well told his daughter to divorce JT rather than told her not to trust him, right?

I have just watched the raw episode 106.
That temple scene made cried a lot. My heart goes out to MR and HW.

MR lost her husband either while pregnant or just after HW was born. She told HW she loved him very much.

Then MR suffered another loss when HW was kidnapped when he has just turned four. That's why she was mentally unstable for sometime. Who could endure losses of first husband and then toddler son?

HW lost his dad when he was either in MR's womb or when he was just born. Then at a tender age of 4, he was forcibly separated from his parents.

The lives of MR and HW have been journeys of thorns and pain.

However, it was so heartening to see HW piggyback MR and addressed her 'mother'. 🥲
