They just lost everything like that? No money? LolI think i wanted more update about FL illness, seems there is…
Yh they didn't lose absolutely everything. However, they were somewhat forced to leave their residence due to them being bugged by the villains. They can't plan for their comeback under Eun Seong's watchful eye.
=~= Half a series has passed - Summary =~=This is probably gonna be an unpopular opinion considering how popular…
Yh, as much as I love this show for the main leads, including the Eun Seong, Soo cheol and his wife, I can definitely say it has its flaws. However, my love for the cast and the fact that I treat this as a rom/com, although it technically isn't and fits more under melodrama genre (I think) overshadows the somewhat laziness in the writing. In my personal opinion, rom/coms tend to be written poorly and by this I mean they **typically** use recycled tropes, one-dimensional characters and have weak side plotlines. And because of this, I always watch them with different expectations that I would with other genres. I think it also helps that I get the bar very low before starting this drama so literally anything can surprise me. However, I do have to admit that in all honesty I do deep down agree with your sentiments and I feel you in the "This could have been sooo much better." , especially with this incredible cast at their disposal. What a shame. I definitely felt this more at the start of the drama, but as the storyline got more serious with Hae-in's condition worsening I feel this less. I'm here to stay for mostly, Hae-in and Baekhyun (and of course, the incredible OST).
See you next week!! I look forward to reading your thoughts for future episodes. I'm personally excited about the prospect of the Baeks and Hongs living under one roof , which I predicted and have been waiting for since week 2.
I just hope that Beom Ja or Hyun Woo is smart enough to record the conversation when grandpa’s mistress admits…
And yes, I've been waiting for this Baek and Hong co-habitation for weeks now. I just knew there had to be a valid reason for them to give Baek's hometown soo much screentime throughout the weeks and I'm soo happy my theory came true. I hope Hongs stay at the Baek's residence for at least two weeks worth of episodes. It'll be soo fun to watch. Can a week come any faster plsss
I just hope that Beom Ja or Hyun Woo is smart enough to record the conversation when grandpa’s mistress admits…
Thanks for explaining a possible strategy for the Hongs to reclaim their empire. I know very little about stocks / shares. Now that I think about it, they must have left their residence because they know that their house has been tampered with. Makes perfect sense. Not sure why I didn't realise this until now.
This series is good but not great as my pov. The cast is top notch but I find the script not as good as the cast.…
Yh, this is totally understandable. I personally love it mainly because of the cast and ost. I absolutely love the main leads. Sure, the plotline is ground-breaking but it isn't bad either. It is good enough for me to stick around for the ride and chemistry and top notch acting from the leads keeps me glued to the screen.
Apologies in advance for the long post.Yet another great episode! This is such a solid, smart, engaging drama…
Oh wow, what an interesting perspective. Thanks for sharing. I'm entirely sure if this is the case for Hae-in, i.e. purposefully pushing Baek Hyun Woo away in order to ease his suffering, however I do like this this take and really wish this is true. I'm am hopeful they will get closer again in the next couple of episodes.
As for the OST, well, it is magnificent. For me the entire soundtrack is on repeat, with the new released songs added to the playlist each week. My current favourites are: The reasons for my smiles by BSS, Love you with all my heart by Crush and Hold me back by Heize. I did absolutely love the song playing during the flashback train scene with the sunset. I think its my new favourite. I'm patiently waiting for its release.
Ngl i kinda enjoyed this plot today. Everything revealed and situation is too funny. This rich grandfather deserved…
Completely agree with this too. I enjoyed this episode way more than the last. Ep7 was just much more devasting with the break up and her memory loss. It really was a dagger to the heart. Whereas the Hong's losing their empire was enjoyable to see, plus we saw this coming for a long time. I'm glad my wish to see the Hongs at Baek-hyun's hometown have come true and I cannot for the family shenanigans. My favourite of the Hongs is also Hae in, the aunt and Hae-in's father for sure. As for the main couple, the "ending" of their marriage was very much bitter sweet. The sunset scene was very beautiful, especially with the song playing in the background. (Patiently, waiting for it's release.) It broke to see Baek Hyun reveal how much he can't believe he hurt in ep7 and then for her to say she divorced him because she didn't keep her end of the deal of keeping him happy.
I don’t feel sorry for the granddad. He basically fell in love with his mistress and thought she could do no…
Hahaha, completely agree. The granddad lost my respect long time ago, and even more after hitting his daughter. I didn't feel one bit bad for him. He had sooo many signs and chances to think more clearly.
OK, thank you. I'll prepare myself mentally 🥺. And thanks for the insight. Feel much better now that I know Hae in is good, especially after the state I was in after the end of episode 7.
I would interested to hear your thoughts after I watch ep 8.
Oh, damn!! Lucky. It's not out on Netflix yet in my region. I guess it is safe to assume that the ep8 will show the demise of the Hong family based off some of the comments I have seen above. Guess this is my cue to avoid mydramalist until I watch the episode. All I care about right now is Hae in's wellbeing. Is she going to be okay 🥺
