I enjoyed this very much especially the first 20 episodes, my only complaint was I went into this expecting a…
Yes, it's hard to find leads that are both equally compatible and likable these days for me so I'm extremely happy I stumbled upon this gem. I enjoyed this drama very much too. I rewatched it a few times and when I did, the early episodes make sooo much more sense and the agony HLX suffered.
Another frustrating finale. I don't know what these screenwriters eat and drink to be so pessimistic. There is…
The ending was too sad for me especially what the leads had to suffer. Their love was sooo pure and deep. They didn't deserve such an ending but hey, I take the drama for what it is. Still worthwhile.
Absolutely love the story. The characters and how they Portray themselves… I can feel their pain, love, and…
This drama was even better than most high budget ones. It was short but sweet, convincing, and beautifully tragic. It's my first time watching the leads and wow, they're pretty good for unknown actors of low budget dramas. Their chemistry was sooo good. Without their chemistry, this drama wouldn't have worked so well.
Um...that's odd. Her performance was really good. The audience has been praising her nonstop. She's the one who received the most hype about her convincing portrayal and I agree. I can't see anyone as Feng Yuan besides Shen Yu Jie. She was awesome considering this was her first main ancient role.
The story is actually good, but isn't there a more creative way other than dying together to end the story? I…
I'm not sure what you're talking about but they literally had something together in Episode 14. They didn't seem intimate at the beginning because HLX was very respectful of FY and allowed her some time to adjust to Linchuan and himself as her husband. Then by the time they did fall in love and become intimate, chaos exploded. This drama is all about how short their joy was together but their love is deep and everlasting.
I'm glad you enjoyed it and took the time to post your thoughts. :)
I skimmed Shen Li, as Kenny is still as wooden as before. Now, I understand why xianxia is only for a certain age group of actors. Although ZLY still looks youthful, but definitely tired and at times, out of place. She's a good actress, just sort of outgrew this genre, so I'm so happy that she closed all loose ends to Princess Agents with Kenny. We got such an extra happy ending in Shen Li. Shen Li, like you said, is so different from TLI although both have the same xianxia formula. Shen Li was quite mature and subtle, not too overbearing with the romance which I liked. I think the leads are in that range to play those feelings. Then I began missing our TLI gang too. I just love their innocence and youth. I appreciate this drama even more knowing that it may be a long time before we see ZLS or WAY in another xianxia, if need be by then. The genre may die off by then.😬
for people saying its a sad ending, its not. you have to deeply understand the plot to know its a happy ending.…
I get the reason behind Feng Yuan's sacrifice and HLX's suicide, but it's still a sad ending in that HLX and FY didn't get to raise their daughter together, didn't get to grow old together in this mortal life, didn't get to return to Linchuan together, didn't do a lot of things that we take for granted. Their love was soooo deep and pure, they deserved happiness together with 5 more kids in Linchuan. No one can ever replace them and love Xiao Shu Liu like they do. And Xiao Shu Liu will never know how AWESOME her parents were.
