I don’t think their romantic interactions feel forced, because honestly the romance started quite early in the drama already. The writers had to show us the romance as to throw us into the abyss later on.
However, I think the tone was too lighthearted. They could still show cute scenes and romance but it would have been more suited if the characters also showed a bit of angst, which they must have felt.

I think they’re just talking like lovers do. They’re talking about what they would like to do. They both know it’s not realistic imo. He even said at one point his family won’t agree or something along those lines.

Also it’s foreshadowed by the raven scenes and when MJH said to himself “even a lifetime of atonement will not be enough”, I think he was referring to him training and poisoning her.

Agree! KmLm definitely delivers on the romance so far! I really also enjoyed the darker episodes at the beginning, but I’m happy that everything turned out as it is now.

I really hope they keep the positive ending. MJH went through so much and still is going through so much…and Mei Lin too. They deserve a positive ending.
