Famous drama nowadays tends to have a sad ending. I don’t know what’s going with the scriptwriter lately.
The trailers are not encouraging. I‘m quite worried it will be a sad ending. I wrote the reasons below in spoiler. Above those were just my thoughts in general.

IMO if it’s a drama that focuses more on political scheming and revenge a sad ending for the romance aspect is sometimes quite fitting and more impactful. But KmLm focuses clearly on the romance aspect, plus they wrote MJH to be such a good and upright man in the end, so a sad ending would just ruin the entire story imo. Had they left him be this cruel crazy character from the novel then a sad ending would be fitting, it would be even quite ironic that the poison he himself gave her would then kill the woman he desperately loves.

I‘m getting more and more worried that it’s a sad ending. There were some clips in music videos and trailers, one where ML gets unconscious when he comes home from war I think, and one where he falls desperately to the snow covered ground. These don’t fit into the fake death arc, so I‘m really worried this might be the ending.

In the village they were in this happy bubble which gave them a place just for themselves and their hearts. I really hope there is a HE! It would be very cruel to give the MJH from the drama such a good heart and a SE.

I just watched it in youku app, it’s lovely. ❤️ They behave so naturally with each other! The thing with the lemon slices was hilarious, when she tasted them too in the end and said ‘don’t believe him’ 😄 I wonder what they mean when they refer to western food? I hope they don’t think we all eat burgers and french fries! I live in Europe and the many countries here all have their own cuisine.
Many people criticise this drama and there are things I would have preferred differently too, but overall I think it is a very good drama and absolutely delivers. LXY is just too good! And WJY too, their chemistry is ❤️🔥
