Loved this story. It was VERY slow-burn and includes a few misunderstandings and people not talking about their feelings etc so some people may find it boring and/or frustrating but personally I could have watched another hour or two of this couple acting together doing little things.
Skipped this for basically a year as every time I looked at the poster something told me I wouldn't like it... it showed up as a recommended again so figured maybe it was a sign to actually give it a try... I lasted 26 minutes... While I can see why some would find it cute I found everything from the acting to the filter to the idea of them being exiled and still having semi-nice clothes... to be ridiculous
off topic but are gonna watch the ongoing drama “The Heir “ not to sound rude just simply curious that u don’t…
Wanted to just say I've finished this and it's not actually really about catty women. There is one female character who is extremely spiteful throughout her scenes but that's really the only one. It is though a bit repetitive in nature as far as ''something bad happens, it gets fixed, something bad happens again, it gets resolved... repeat throughout''. This becomes both a positive and a negative because on one hand you begin to roll your eyes at yet ANOTHER issue arising while on the other hand you know that your blood pressure will only be raised for an episode, maybe two, before this one is also resolved. People seem to also be disappointed in the lack of explicit romance and that the ML was more of a side character. I personally didn't have an issue with the chemistry of the slight romance as I didn't go into the show expecting it to BE a romance but instead a show about a woman revitalizing her family's business... which it was. Essentially it was a history rich, family business melodrama that featured a 'slight' romance. I gave it an 8.5 after focusing strictly on the issues surrounding the history of ink making and the performances of many of the cast, but if I had gone off the wash/repeating of the storyline and the cartoonishness of the villian it would have been more like a 7/10.
Title: 《王爷们请接招》| Your Highnesses, Please Accept Our Challenge! English Localizations: Princes Try to Handle US Princes, Brace Yourselves
ML1: Huang Youtian ML2: Li Zijie FL1: Ma Xiaowei FL: Mi Qi
Synopsis: Two modern-day best friends are transported to the world of the enemy kingdom, disguised as spies sent for a political marriage. One is married to the cold-faced warlord Prince Rui (the elder brother), and the other to the charming and cunning Prince Jing (the younger brother). The brothers are wary of their marriages, never expecting that the "high-level spy" the elder brother sees is actually a naive bookworm obsessed with knowledge, completely ignorant of love and intrigue; while the "innocent, love-struck girl" the younger brother tries to manipulate turns out to be a shrewd and cunning woman who cleverly outwits him. Thus begins a sweet and misunderstanding-filled drama of revenge.

MDL is community-based, updated by volunteers, not automated, so it is hard to keep up with the massive boom of…
It's not even just that actually. Across the entire site they have been focusing on site updates. They have placed a hold on all 'already aired' titles with very few exceptions and are only accepting currently airing and to-air dramas. This hugely affects vertical dramas because they are often added after they have aired. However if the information is available before the drama has aired it will still be accepted; this is why there HAVE been updates to vertical dramas in 2026, just not as many as you might expect.
This isn't bad but it's so loose on logic and plotholes you need your brain not only off but in another room. About 3/4 of the story is the journey to exile and past 1/4ish is after they get there. Story is obviously a 'season 1' type story and there seems to be no sign of a season 2.
Best aspects: 1. They actually use quite a number of extras 2. The rivalry between the ML and the MLs concubine for the FLs attention and affections once she joins up with them. Examples: - "I married into this manor because of YOU." "Because of ME?" "That's right. Your Highness is TOTALLY my type." - "The Princess Consort isn't yours alone." "She married me. She bore me two children. How is she not my wife?" "You two... Don't drag ME into your argument." "That cunning, treacherous man. He actually dares to compete with ME for the Princess!" 🤣🤦♀️
Adorably sweet show. It's not a 'hot and heavy' type drams by any means but it doesn't shy away from showing off Pan Zi Jian's torso as he's often wearing a shirt half open or even not wearing one at all as he tosses water on himself to 'clean up'. Story is develops their romance nicely imo.
