I felt zero depth in her relationship with Shishio so had a hard time understanding why she was so torn up over his "rejection". Then with Mamura I kept feeling like he was trying only to be her friend, which I guess he was, but the underlying tension from him didn't really come through for me in the few scenes set up between them.

I never got a feeling of romantic interest from either of them. Like he gives off an air of concern to me. Idk, whole movie took me almost twice the run time to actually watch.

The synopsis is not quite what happens in the movie. It'd be more accurate to say that the movie is about a 16 yr old girl marrying a 26 yr old police officer after knowing him for a single evening during a mixer where she represented herself as being 22. After getting married she has to try and get used to being a policeman's wife which includes their interactions with a local delinquent boy she befriends from school.

Also, the ending scene with Bruno Mars "I Think I Want To Marry You" playing over them walking is one of the weirdest, cringiest things I've ever seen.

Manga is still ongoing, series ends with her holding her hands over his ears and confessing her love for him while he's had a recorder turned on in his pocket soooo open-ended "yes" since she's still in school and they aren't "technically" together yet.

lol depends on your definition of good. It's family farm politics with a bit of comedy and romance spread on top, tied up in a "this is a gaming world" bow.

I caught that too! Where he was subtlety like "wouldn't you actually like to live in a palace" and she was all "nah, I don't want to make my existence tied to fighting for a man's affections based on how often I can give birth".

😅 I know I definitely under the wrong impression about this show thinking it was going to be more cutesy rom-com. It's good for sure, just not what I thought it was going to be!

I don't personally use it but my mother used to bruise easily when she was taking a blood pressure medication at one point. She just used a generic version not a name brand though.

Giving us scheming and backstabbing over money, blatant favoritism, meat pies, and near death experiences after deliberately orchestrating someone to have a miscarriage.

That was my thought with the step-mom too, she was just so over the top bad that it felt like a deliberate choice.

Idk if it's technically what they're using in dramas but bruise creams do exist and they use something called arnica in either a cream or gel form to help reduce and reabsorb the blood flow in the area.

This show seemed both a lot longer than 24 episodes and a lot shorter than 24 episodes. Everything is jam-packed and often cases will run for most of two episodes. Comedy is definitely a hilight of the show but it also gets rather deep at times dealing with some heavier issues.

Overall this show should definitely not be missed.

Watched all 4 episodes and found it absolutely hilarious. Just when you think you know how somethings going to go they seem to flip it and go in another direction 😂

Short and full of OTT drama but highly watchable without any major plot holes that I saw. Hope to see Li Pei En in more things in the future because he was amazing in this show.

I'm in the camp that he's not dead. People just don't pay attention to details. BUT, even if "you" think he's dead I still wouldn't consider it a bad ending necessarily. In fact, less so for Nan Chu than say Milan and Miaomiao with Yu's death because she has stated multiple times that she is fully aware of the risks and knows that if she does get that call she CAN survive alone and happy.

Honestly, I don't think he's dead based on the fact that the scene before the dance had Lin showing up "last" with Yang, who was clearing sitting in the dance audience, already there before-hand along with Yu and Dangang.

So then why would there be an empty seat for such an important performance and why was everyone sad? Well they were emotional because the dance was supposed to BE emotional. It was a tribute to their firefighting, especially, it looked like the forest fire that they had all fought viciously. Of course it's emotional, some of them probably saw people die during the fire, sacrificing their life trying to stop it from spreading. Look back and there were definitely scenes of firefighters catching on fire head to toe while others could only continue to fight the fire as their uniform was in tatters from burns.

Lin meanwhile, the head of that station, he can't just take leave whenever he wants now that he has dedicated himself to it. He has given himself a mission so while he is there with Nan Chu in spirit, he can't actually come to her performance. (If anything it's u realialistic that as many of them as DID attend would have been able to attend but that's not what the scriptwriter/director was trying to convey I don't think so it gets a pass).

Honestly though, even if the whole thing were to say that nope, he did actually die and just forget the scene before the dance as meaningless, it wouldn't matter. The entire story has stated from basically the beginning that they are aware of the risks and Nan Chu is capable of living her life without his physical presence.

To the end I stand by my rating of a 10/10.

I was initially interested in SWK but seeing all the comments around "filial piety" and such being a huge factor Idk if I have the emotional capacity for Fireworks In My Heart 2.0 mommy issues.

I was considering Alliance or maybe even switching things up a bit and going non-romance main plot with the new Truth of Scent or and older one like The Ferryman or The Bureau of Transformers 🤯😵‍💫🤯

I know that feeling all too well 😭 Every time I manage to cross a show off my CW list it feels like one more pops up there and three more (at least) on PTW
