No. I just have no interest in people who don't make valuable comments.

Having an issue with something in the plot, sure. That is a valuable comment and something I could debate. Not liking fantasy, not liking dramas set in the Royal setting, not liking Zeenunew is a low value comment and usually what happens is I will either ignore them or if they cross my path too much I just block the person who's spamming our group.

I don't have time to be invested in a TV show. And posts that people think probably take me hours to compose take me 5 minutes. Often in my car on the way to a meeting or lunch or an exercise class. I'm a writer. I could probably write a novel in my sleep.

I'm mostly a fan of NuNew as a singer. He's my car playlist. The two of them have only been in two series plus a forgettable movie, and as support in Naughty Babe. It would be impossible to be a huge fan of them in BL because they don't do very much of it.

It's pointless. If you don't like a genre, don't like particular actors, that's not a critical analysis that people are going to get anything out of.

You either like romance or you don't like romance, you either like Zeenunew or you don't like Zeenunew.

That really doesn't add anything to the conversation.

Now I don't know about you, but even though I'm now retired I still sit on a few boards, I've volunteered doing some science writing on veterinary care, and I work out a lot so I don't fall apart in in my old age.

So I don't even have time to participate in a million different online communities. I pretty much stick to this one.

In fact if I find people in online communities that follow me around to harass me I just block them. I'm not saying you're one of those people because you're not (at least so far). But I just did one today because the woman didn't like the tone of my posts.

Anyway, I don't bother arguing with people who make low value posts to groups. Eventually if I think they have nothing to say I just block them. Makes life easier.

So I guess this means we won't be seeing you again since you will have nothing to add. There is many a series I don't like, and personally I have better things to do than to go to the series pages and carp about it.

That's happened to this drama too. All I can tell you is I don't go to other pages and shoot down the shows. That's pretty ridiculous. If I don't like something I stop watching it.

My posts about shows are primarily analysis or point of view. In my real life I'm a (now retired) journalist and publisher mostly in politics and medical industries.

And I plan on watching Reset after all the episodes have dropped. It actually looks like an above average BL in quality.

I think they were about to walk into a bunch of street CCTV's and individuals with cell phone cameras pointed at them. If you remember when all the media came out about Khanin and the mine protest the one news outlet the king couldn't suppress was social media. Anyway that might be why they thought better of walking through a bunch of cameras taking pictures of them holding a gun at the back of someone.

I've never seen a BL where there wasn't a main couple and at least two others who didn't get much screen time. It's kind of the formula for a BL, or any rom-com or romance drama for that matter.

That's because he knows Charan is looking into it. Khanin has no contacts and no ability to do this himself.

All that will do is get him executed. So far in the series anytime that Tharin shares a scene with Khanin, he is nothing but supportive and loving.

And if you notice both Charan and Thanin will bring up subjects to the king about the mines and the unrest of the people, but they do it in a diplomatic way and know when to STFU. Enraging the King will not get them the results they want.

I haven't read the book but my prediction is that Tharin, Thatdanai, Charan and Khanin will start working together behind the scenes to figure out the future of Emmaly.

They can't do that if they're all dead.

I don't think you're talking about more "L", you're talking about more sex. Even before episode 7 where they finally do have sex. the two of them have demonstrated the love and dedication they have to each other. And they've done so in every episode since.

The circumstances aren't such where they can just be on a honeymoon with reckless abandon. There's a lot going on but I never get the feeling in any episode that they aren't in love.

But you have to remember whoever wins the competition doesn't become the king or queen. Their father does. Would you really like to see either Chana or Rachata as king?

Prince Tharin is playing the long game. It's Khanin who doesn't quite get the political aspects yet, but I believe he's learning. Tharin understands that there's little he can do until he's in a position of power, but I believe from everything he said and everything he is that if Khanin wins the competition for him he will be a good and just leader.

Maybe Chakri could be be King? Ballchon has a girlfriend so maybe Chakri likes women. 😁

Review and analysis of Episode 9.

Palace politics unfolds. In episode 9 we have the mining controversy, the assassination attempt against Ramil, and the return of Thatdanai.

Best of all no ads, and only one subtle product placement (nose inhalers on the table when Chakri hands Khanin the iPad).

Who is the most evil of them all?

My money is on the king followed by Rachata. The king obviously knows he's running an unsafe mine and wants to avoid responsibility. Nuff said.

Who wants Ramil dead? I don't think there's anybody else who would benefit from his death outside of the king. He wants Tharin to succeed him, so getting Rachata out of the picture would greatly improve Tharin's odds. On the other hand, Rachata has no reason to want his son dead since he needs him competing if he hopes to take the crown.

And let's not forget the king's attempt on Thatdanai's life. The king is the only one who has a reason to want him dead if for no other reason than Khanin already believes he's dead. Killing Thatdanai would tie up loose ends.

Is Wasin evil? And why is Rachata such a horrible human being? We don't know yet. But the one thing we do know is that all four of the princes are widowers. So what happened to the women? Did the king kill them? Did they die in the revolution? Is the reason that all the women are hidden in Meenanakarin because Wasin is trying to protect them? Or is this some kind of revenge against women because he lost his wife? And what about Chana? He's a completely unknown entity at this point.

Is Ramil evil? No. Ramil is a victim of abuse as is his whipping boy Paytai. Despite being the whipping boy Paytai has handled it much better than Ramil. This could be because Ramil feels guilty that every time he does something wrong Paytai pays for it. Ramil hasn't done anything evil yet. He's just an entitled spoiled brat. He still has time to grow up before he turns into his father.

Who is good?

Well this isn't very complicated. The only people we can be relatively sure are good are Khanin, Charan, Chakri, Thatdanai and likely Tharin. There probably doesn't need to be any explanation on that.

So who should be king? And who would be the best heir?

Well if he had royal blood and a son Charan would make the best king. He's even handed, mature, and understands politics. Plus he's gorgeous.

But since he's not eligible the best choice is Tharin. Like Charan he understands politics, knows that he needs to keep his opinions under wraps for now, but with his father out of the way I suspect he will bloom as King making Emmaly a much kinder, more equitable, and safer place. I think we are going to find out just how good a leader he could be in the next few episodes.

The other three aren't even a possibility. Wasin isn't eligible and I think he has some real grudges stemming from what happened to his family. Chana is an unknown entity and doesn't seem to have the wherewithal to lead anything, not even his daughter Ava. And well Rachata? He's evil and can't control his emotions. Anarchy would be a better choice than Rachata.

So who is the best heir? Well first of all the next king will need to allow the younger generation to use surrogates or artificial insemination (in the case of Ava) to propagate the next generation. Otherwise we're not talking about the next prince but the last Prince.

Ramil and Ava are obviously the best fencers, and Ava has been shown to be an excellent archer as well. They both greatly outperform Khanin in sport but neither has demonstrated any competence in diplomacy at all. Despite growing up in London as an upper middle-class kid Khanin instantly blended with heads of state, speaking to them in their own language while listening to background on each diplomat through an earpiece. Quite an accomplishment for a newbie. And with that innate ability plus his outgoing personality and empathy for the people he seems the only one who would be a natural leader.

As we see in the coming attractions Khanin is starting to take his fencing more seriously, and hopefully his history lessons. Now that he has found a reason to want to lead I believe he will be motivated to do his best in all areas. And come on. Who really needs to know how to fence and hit a target in the 21st century? How is this a leadership quality?

Bottom line. Tharin and Khanin for the win.

I'm watching Pit Babe as it runs along with The Next Prince. Normally I don't watch series until they all drop but since I made an exception for TNP, I figured I'd watch Pit Babe 2 which is also showing on IQIYI.

I like TNP better but I'm enjoying both shows. They are very different.
